Only 5p for me today
After reading through todays comments i have to say i would of given money back or at least handed it in at customer services.
I have 2 pots one that i put shrapnel and the odd £1/£2 - thats my sealed pot for xmas and the other i mainly put 50ps and 20ps in and that goes towards my debts. I do this because if i used all of my spare change or savings to pay towards my debt we wouldn't of had a xmas this year or probably next year. We all need to treat ourselves once in a while to feel human otherwise i know i would have fallen off the wagon and had a massive spending spree equalling more debt!£387.39/£196.46

Hi all... just wondering what everyone is saving for or if you are saving to pay off a bit of debt etc.
I just think after saving for that long it would be great to treat yourself but i wouldnt want to thrift it away!!!!
Just curious as to what all of you guys are aiming to do with the hard saved money???? :beer:9 years and counting0 -
Oh dear - I don't like it when people argue on here!
I once left my purse in a theme park without realising. The first I knew about it was when someone rang me in the evening to say they'd found it and then kindly posted it to me. £5 is a lot of money so I think it should have been handed in to customer services.
Can we all be friends now please?
Regarding the post from Roves1 we have to remember that everybody's circumstances are different. Some people have no debt at all but enjoy saving their loose change to keep themselves out of debt by saving for things. Others have a lot of debt and others want to pay off a mortgage as quickly as possible. It's up to the individual to decide how they spend their savings. Personally we'll be using some of ours to make a capital repayment and then maybe treat ourselves to something nice for the whole family. There's enough doom and gloom in the UK at the moment with the recession so we all deserve to have a bit of FUN I think.Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000

Started using my £2 coin tin. I draw my wage on Fridays from the cashier - not cash machine, that way I can ask for a bag of £2 coins, some of which will be put in my tin. I don't plan on counting - that way i'll get a nice surprise when I open it
After Xmas I'll probably buy 2 more tins in the sales, one to be used for £1 coins and the other 50/20p. Can't stand having any coppers on me so they get put in an open tin and when it gets full, I bung them into those little coin bags and change them at the bank.
izzoh - Not sure what I'll be doing with my savings, but it will be a treat! Not going on any debt. (maybe new carpet, cooker not sure)Sealed Pot Challenge 15 #78
