  • Decided to make this a family challenge to encourage OH and daughter (don't know the acronym for this!) to join in. Asked what we should save for and daughter suggested Wii so we went along with that. She doesn't know we have one hiding upstairs for Xmas ... she has added some change from her money box and my OH and I have added some more so the total amount in our box now is £4.93! :j

So a great start, just need to keep going ...

Have to think of another treat to save for after Xmas day!!:rotfl:

I read and re read Puddings first post , and i didnt at first realise you (pudding) saw the woman leaving , i assumed it was just there ( i did read it late last night without glasses lol! )

And i have to unfortuantly agree with others , i would of given the 5er back , i would be more then gutted if i lost a 5er , this time of year too. But whats does is done.

Stunty- Hope ur feeling better , im lucky enough to not of had any colds for the last 3 months , i have server/chronic asthama and 3 times this year ive had emergancy trips to the hospital for server chest infection , internal rip to the lung ect , so im prayin a hospital free 2009 lol! Hope miss S is still looking afta ya!

    Hello every one else.

  • Hey Jess, well done with the saving. It all adds up. I have huge sympathy for you having chronic asthma. My sister's asthmatic and she suffers in the winter. I'm a lot better. Mrs S has been looking after me well. (chicken soup at lunch, fish and chips for tea) I'm a spoilt Stunty! lol.

  • I noticed I am down for £50 but should be £160. My number is 112. Sorry if I posted wrong amount. I aimed at £100 this year and ended up with £165 so going for gold. We save 20p and under so £165 was a pleasent surprise. £100 of this has paid into a holiday we are having in February.
Thanks for all your hard work and best of luck to everyone. I never find any coins on pavement but perhaps I must look down more.
  • late in on this but I definately agree with Stunty and Glendam and everyoneelse who would give the £5 back to the lady that left it in the machine. Glendam I am proud of your son cycling to that lady's house to return her purse - he did great:T :T

anyway I got a shiny £2 in my change today and Rasher has devoured it:rotfl:

Well I suspect that most people on here would keep the fiver, but I applaud both you and Paybacktime anyway for being able to afford to have higher moral standards.

It isn't a case of AFFORDING to have higher morals. It just IS having higher morals. I hope you enjoy spending your fiver.

    Hello All:hello:

Tense afternoon in sealed pot challenge world!!

No I wouldnt have taken the fiver either but each to their own.

Glad that person pointed out about paying off debts, that hadnt crossed my tiny peanut mind!!
Stunty I agree with you as most of us are saving shrapnel and the odd £1 coin not £50 notes. I am going to use half of my pot money to pay a big chunk off of my debt as a final push for debt free in 2009 challenge.

Well glad we are all normally very friendly to each other and that negative people like that dont drop by very often.
    :j Keep going sealed potters!!:j

Another 94p into my pot today, change from my Christmas shopping today which is now all done! woohoo1.gif

In the Great Five Pound Debate, if I had seen the person leave it, I would have gone up and given it back to them, and I do not have a lot of money spare. I would just like to think that karma would somehow show its appreciation! If I was having a bad day/was distracted, it could be me that did something like that and I would like to think that people would be nice enough to point it out.

Anyway, have a lovely Saturday night all, lets just agree to disagree and keep this thread all warm and cuddly.
