Sue - hello and thank you for the well wishes and advice of wrapping up warm. I wont bore you too much with the story of the 'ripped lung' but i thought i had a chest infection but my doctors were like no no but we will give you steriods case ur asthma is playing up., anyway , few days later felt ill saw ANOTHER doctor , no no its not an infection here 1 more weeks worth of steriods.. so few days later feel crap went back to ANOTHER doctor no no here more steriods. grr... and the new steriods made me feel excellent , there for i walked both our dogs MILES and cleared my room , that night i physically couldnt breath , and i thought my time was up. couldnt breath enough to take inhaler , got upstairs god knows how , got my mum , puked blood every where (Sorry) she called the abumlance , the paramedics woudlnt let her in abulance with me because they thought i was going to die of a heart attack , at the hospital ,they done bloods/x ray and said it was a very major infection lung was internally damaged i was on 3 forms of antibitoics , steriods new inhalers for 2 weeks .. needless to say.. i have a new doctor
Lol so nows im very careful , must admit i thought i was dead that night so did my mum .. makes me appriciate my life so much more , hey who knows that might be why i dont underage drink/smoke or walk street corners at late night hehe , wow i have rambled sorry! lol
But for any athmastics intrested i have a purple inhaler and a blue and brown and green
Also another question for ASTHMATICS does ur inhalers ever make ur heart race?

Hello every one else.
Also to the person who asked how money saved will be spent ..
I am over weight and am about to start sensibly dieting , for my health and confidence ect , so hopefully buying new clothes in a years time lol! I also want to treat my mum
she deserves so much , so maybe a day at a spa some thing she has never done before , hence hard core saving on my part , i do not have any debt (Thank goodness) so im happy to go with the flow and hopefully have a great xmas 09
Sorry guys for rambling in a chatty mood!

You're a very fortunate young lass then Jess! Using that money wisely and keeping to a healthy lifestyle constantly will help the asthma a great deal too! Two for the price of one for sure! BTW As far as I've noticed my inhalers don't ever make my heart race.

Hi
Reading these posts and seeing the amount raised by each participant for 2008, I was just intriged to know how much was saved altogether? Apologies if it has already been posted but i've looked and have not found anything. I don't know if i have been looking in the right place. It seems like you lot managed to save several thousand :T but i would be nice to know the exact total.
Thanks

hello all,
can I join please? i *sort* of did this last year but ended up opening my pot in August to pay for my house insurance. I've tried to get going again but I keep dipping in to it:rolleyes: . Hopefully by joining this challenge it should keep me on the straight and narrow! I'm going to aim for £300, last year I only saved silver and managed to get £130 in 6 months, so hopefully with a bit of effort I should be ok!Jan GC £0/£2000 -
looks like Rasher will be on diet as Mr Mouse and I are away until next Saturday but I will hopefully save some change for him to munchy on when we return. Have a good week everyone:D£2 savers club 2025 #40
