Ok - the advice is there for people who want to take it, or ignore it.

It's relevant to this thread, because this thread is about saving on a forum about becoming Debt free, very pertinent given the title of the article.

Some of the balances are a lot of money, not pennies.

Thanks for policing us all. As Cheryl says (and I agree) what people want to save in theor threads is down to them, no one else. I suggest you go and read the original thread from last year before coming on here and throwing advice that we already know at us. Some people saved their coins in accounts to get the interest, some people had to use their sealed pots tp pay bills before the end of the challenge. It's a personal choice.

Re: The £5 issue. As a copper can I point out thats theft? As a human being I agree with Glendam, it's not in the spirit of DFW. Roadkill/change is one thing. Knowing that the woman left it is another.
Well I suspect that most people on here would keep the fiver, but I applaud both you and Paybacktime anyway for being able to afford to have higher moral standards.

Calm down dear, I was trying to help, no need to be so nasty.

I'm simply saying why not read the previous thread before coming on here with advice and being patronising.

Patronising to some, perhaps useful to others. It is Martin's advice afterall. I've deleted the posts, and will leave you to enjoy your fun challenge

Yeah, funnily enough they are. Some reason for the sarcasm?

    On a happier note...

yay!!!!!!!!! I sorted my change out today and resisted the temptation to count them... but I now have 2 pots, one for silver and the other for bronze. I got the pots from Woolworths for £1 in the sale!!! Bargain!! and they are the sort of giant baked bean cans.. the only way out is with a tin opener!

I know the challenge has only been goin a week or so but i feel really chuffed that I have made a positive start! :T :T :T

    Thanks all... :money:
