hi,
Have not added much to my pots, not spending much so no change, added about £6 in total since started.Have changed £2 worth of 1s and 2p from dads car, so could ad £2 coin to mums pot.She has added about £8 since we started. My sister has about £14 in £ coins, taken from her payrise, and £20 in 20p [when dad give her 20ps she changes them for £1 and puts them in mums pot with out her know as shes collected these before so dad saves them for her last time she had £70 in 6 months.. Hopefully after xmas will have lots of change from the sales.
Tried making the pigs like ziggie but think i made paste to watery, have never done it before, they where not very hard when they dried, or is that how they are?
My friends son came around for the morning when we were making these so he join my niece me and my sister in making these.Have got two paint your own pigs for them to paint till i can work the pigs out.# 017 -Sealed Pot Challenge 8

lol
Sarellie8, well done on your first day of being "weed free" :T , keep up the good work, don't forget, you will be healthier, and better off financially, we're here to support you if the will gets weak.
Last but certainly not least, a warm welcome to anyone who's joined the [strike]asylum[/strike] sorry challenge.
Hi sparky and firstly IF you're working today then do be careful on your bike with that wind!!! Now come on sparky, be honest about we "Pocket Raiders", you're just cautious that your dear wife will start doing the same to you. She doesn't come here using an alias like Stunty's does she??! Keep an eye on your pockets sparky and don't worry, I'm keeping watch on the ones who are up for my crown!!!:D
Welcome aboard kizzie01, cw18 and ika200! Good to meet you all and to have you joining in with us.Save whichever is the best way for you Cheryl. You'll each find your numbers at the end of the list on page 1. BTW ika200, most shops are charged by banks when they go for change so with this in mind, we took all ours to our local shop who welcomed EVERY bit of it!!! Ask them first perhaps.
Miss_Piggy wrote:Sue-UU....my Bertie Bassett is a plastic money box in the shape of..um..Bertie Bassett! He originally came full of allsorts (they didn't last long:o ) and now every year he's used to save money for my Christmas Meat!
Unfortunately Bertie gives up his savings far too easily so I'm using a Terramundi for my sealed pot and Bertie for coppers as I'm less likely to raid him for them!!
Many thanks for that info Miss P and just as I'd thought so I'll HAVE to keep well away from him , far too addictive!:o ....Good to see you on again stacy, doing very well indeed too! ....Great news mumofcookers, I reckon he must do it on purpose!....ratty you are getting SO very keen, so quickly, but please don't even think of jingling people in the street!!! .....Hi Stunty, sorry to hear you're not so good, hope you're feeling much better soon, but at least you now have someone there to lovingly care for you! If the tree is rocking then fix it to something!!!:p You too regards feeling better soon oopalah ...Stunty's tree talks too ...where else d'you reckon he got his man flu?!!!PowneyGirl wrote:Just started today as now an "official" member of my first challenge. Starting balance 45p. OH just asked if there is a limit to the largest value coin - I said no, put in anything you like - does that fall within the rules of the challenge?
Hi PowneyGirl, you're learning fast - and where OH's are concerned you make up your own rules!!! ....Well done on another day's success Sarellie!!! By far the best way is to throw yourself into the housework or any job that really needs doing. You're doing marvellously so keep strong!!! :T :j
Hi ladsmadd, you're doing very well indeed, as for the pigs have you had a look on page 1 to see Nykmedia's link to the whole 'recipe' for the paper mach! pigs, the instructions about making them too. Try a glue rather than the water/flour paste perhaps. Good luck!
Some wonderful saving again today folks, have a jingling weekend (ratty will!!) and beware of the weather. Anyone wishing to join us, just say as you are very welcome.

i agree with junior-j
what's the point in doing all he hard saving if you're then going to stick it all in a coinstar machine and lose a slice of it?
Personally rather than a jar or piggy bank, i'd rather stick my change each week into my ISA, that way it will also earn a small amount of tax free interest.0 -
Yesterday I picked up 8p road kill in Morrisons car park, also added a handfull of copper and a £2 coinPad, started 28.11.08 running total £3674.91:T
