Hi all, I would like to join if I may, I know I'm a little later but hey better late than not saving at all lol
We already have an empty Robinsons squash bottle, onle of the biggies that we use for loose change, although cant remember the last time I put anything in it, it just sits there, so I will use that as my starting base, no idea how much is in it, a little under a quarter full with copper.
Just off to empty the shrapnel from my purse in to it.cc £1023.71

Hi Sue-UU
Hello everybody.
I haven't posted for a while although I have still been putting money into my sealed pot.
However I am attempting to do a PAW (Payment A Week) to my credit card and so have decided to open my pot and pay the contents to my credit card bill as it makes more sense to reduce the debt and the potential interest than have the money sitting in pot.
So the amount accumulated, which is just from road kill and recycling, is $105.13 which converts to approximately 58.00 pounds.
Good luck to everybody still doing the challenge and also good luck to the newbies. Well done Sue on running a very popular thread.

Hi :hello: Can I please join in? December is still almost four months, but I'm skint so every little will help. I will be saving coppers and 5p's in a sealed tin, and £2 coins in a coffee jar. Don't have a target, but would like enough for my December GroceryShop. That should be do-able, I hope.

I bagged up our £356 and took it to pay it into my account yesterday, the plank on the desk informs me "You can't pay more than 5 bags of coins in per day."
I said that I can understand that if you're just exchanging the coins for notes but when you're paying it into one of their accounts that's just stupid.
She said it was a storage issue that they couldn't take so many coins!!!
They are coins, not bloody caravans!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:
Stupid dumb !!!!!!!

We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Good to welcome you to the fold jackieglasgow.:D Enjoy yourself here and have great fun saving, even in 4 months it's amazing what's possible. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 2 of page 1, it's a good idea to put it on your signature and certainly helps me to help you at the end of the year. If you haven't already done so then read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll help you with any queries.
Hello again Kerfuffle and love to Canada! It's lovely to see you again and I do so hope that's not a 'goodbye' note! No one would blame you for putting your savings towards your CC Kerfuffle, and 1 or 2 others have already done the same, but they're still going to continue on and save when possible. Martin himself is always first to say "use your savings to pay off/towards debts" and it makes sense to do so. Stick with us though, even if it's only a cent every so often it's still savings of a sort!!
Well done zara*elise! Now for a rummage through the rest of the house - yes?!;)
61p is good Helen, it all adds up! By the way, if you ever want to ask anything, then please do so, we've all needed to at different times. Tis the only way to find things out!!
oooh Linda , you almost sounded as though you meant that!! What a dumb thing to say and how pathetic can they get. For Heaven's sake...it's a bank...isn't it?! Put it down to her being a numb-nut, she must be. Excellent work on saving the amount you did, very well done indeed!!
Good for you euronorris! You're doing well. You too Greenbynature....!
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.
