Linda, that's terrible! I've had that before though, it's something to do with the fact they can't keep track of large amounts of coins etc. You'd think with all the credit crunch they'd be begging people for money!
Sue, I need to still check the sofas and coat pockets so I'm hoping a few stray pennies can be found!

I said that I can understand that if you're just exchanging the coins for notes but when you're paying it into one of their accounts that's just stupid.
She said it was a storage issue that they couldn't take so many coins!!!
They are coins, not bloody caravans!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:
Stupid dumb !!!!!!!
...Linda xx
How stupid! It's not like everyone is going to be paying in 5+ bags of coins at the same time so storage shouldn't really be that much of a problem. Whenever I've paid coins in, they always look like they've got plenty of space in the coin compartment (don't know what it's called exactly!).ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

Hello all!
I have at least £200 saved so far. It took me so long to add it all up last year, I'm doing it as I go along this year. I know that's not strictly the rules but rules are made to be broken
Llloyds have always taken my coins without a problem, even the very small local branch. But I know some building societies only take 5 bags at a time. That just tempts me (cos I am naughty!) to go in with 5 bags, & return numerous times :rotfl:

Hello - Hope everyone has had a nice weekend, the weather has certainly been nice and I don't want to go back to work tomorrow after having three days off this weekend
I have kindly been given £50 by my grandparents this weekend which was very naughty but nice of them. They are all too generous so I am going to add them to £3.35 in 5p's to the pot today as I haven't added any money for a few days.
Anyway going to go and walk the two dogs, it is my dog's 2nd birthday today so going to let her have a swim in the river.
Have a great evening all and take care0 -
