Hi everyone! DH has given me some change and I've managed to put about £4 in the pot. Also I found a tenner that I'd hidden from myself and we treated ourselves to a coffee, cake (him) and an ice cream milkshake (me) and I've put the change in the pot too!

Thanks Stunty for helping me with my problem the other day :A

Hi all, what a beautiful day it's been. We've enjoyed every moment of Saturday and today....might as well before the rain comes any way!! :D

LC 2 I do hope your kiddies are soon feeling much better and back to their normal mischief. bless em! My DH also takes medication daily, but often gets them...for which he has more medication though it doesn't always work either. Ah well!

I hope all went well with stunty rosepink and that you weren't being scammed as you suspected!

It sounds as though your grandparents are so very sweet blondy, they obviously love giving a little away to see the pleasure it gives to the receivers. Best to do so that way rather than..... well you know!

Well done Lisa that's a great amount so far! I think a few of you are counting what goes in, it's not against the rules but most folk are happy to be surprised at the end of the year. If anything, I think it possibly encourage them to save as much as is possible so it is a surprise and not a shock!:j

Oh dear young Jess, what are we going to do with you! You really need to put a limit to your spending before you end up in real financial trouble further down the line. Please do take care my lovey! Have a look around the site if you wish to be discouraged from blowing your cash. Money is so precious Jess, hang onto it and set yourself up for a cash problem free life - please! :) I know what I'd do with that "shiney gold pound" ....will you? :p

Have a great day tomorrow folk, a good week too, but whatever you do keep saving!

    Sue

80p to my pot today, so close to the halfway mark :)
  • Morning everyone :D:D:D:D:D

Well - my terramundi has been full for a week - so rather than leave it I did the 'shake-rattle- and -roll' last night. I'm banking £600!!!:j:j:j:j:j Am VERY happy - it's going straight onto one of my credit cards.:A

I thought I would collect less money this year - but am on target to get more, so I'm very pleased.

I've started putting my golden coins into my giant golden piggie - which I think will take at least 2 years to fill.

Am off out tonight - so hopefully I'll get some more pennies. Have a lovely - hopefully sunny - day everyone. LCx
    Save me from spending...

How stupid! It's not like everyone is going to be paying in 5+ bags of coins at the same time so storage shouldn't really be that much of a problem. Whenever I've paid coins in, they always look like they've got plenty of space in the coin compartment (don't know what it's called exactly!).

I should have offered them a storage solution by ramming the coins up her nostrils!

    Afternoon All!

Haven't been on here for months....I broke into my sealed pot to use the money for a holiday - £160! - so it was such a nice change to have a free holiday (along with train tickets I won on the comps board.)

Now I'm sealed pot saving for a jaunt to copenhagen next month and going to the london film festival in october.

My sister was really impressed when I told her I already had the money saved for an impromptu holiday without dipping into my bank account. :j
