    Hi guys

Thanks Sparky and Sue-uu for your lovely comments....I will just be happy to be 'our Elsie ' now. !

Well, we won £10 on the lottery last night, and OH and I had a debate on whose tenner it really is.. What do you guys think.?.....I paid for the lottery, OH went and got it, and it was his line that won. But without my contribution he wouldn't have won...would he.! It wouldn't normally be a problem, but seeing as he has started his own sealed pot, well, naturally he wanted to put it in there.

We have agreed to share it, rather reluctantly on part of OH, so £5 each.......I have stood my ground. (even though he bought me a Valentines card, and we've been married almost 38 years, that didn't sway me to back down. ) So and extra fiver in today.:j

June 2010 - 11/56 lbs Weight to lose before May 2011.

  • normal pound in my pound tin and some shrapnel

jordanshannon the pensioner didn't have short fat hairy legs (not a pretty sight as Eric Morcambe would have said) did she? It could have been me  in disguise looking for road change ;)

I've got to go to hospital today for a blood test for cholesterol  , wonder how long I'll have to wait

Have a great day everyone and take care, catch you all later

    Hi sparky :hello:

Sorry i've taken ages to reply, hmmmn, no, no the pensioner didn't have hairy legs and she wasn't very short:rotfl: . She was in fact a snooty old lady with a fur hat and a fur coat to match, looked like she was from the posh end of London(:rotfl: haha i sound so common:rotfl: ). She was so stuck up and if looks could kill i would have been murdered twice over
Anyhoo, few more clunks in penny and silver jar, my pound jar is getting no action of late so when i get paid i will put some in there as it really does need saving :D
    ..xx
I am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A
  • Just 2 x 5p's that OH left on top of the washer today, silly boy leaving his change about!

On the up side though I have found quite a bit of roadkill lately thanks to the thread, £1, 2p, 20p and 5p - the 5p was in the middle of works canteen at lunchtime and I just dived down for it as i it was £20, I think its the excitement of something for nothing!!

I even find myself looking on the pavement when I'm queuing in the car - OBSESSION!!x

    Hi everyone.

You're forgiven nickynoo, anyway with saving for a car it had to go in the bank sooner or later and at least you've started over again.....Good to see you Molly!....Oh dear jpwhittle I hope that helped get it off your chest and glad you're feeling better now. Though it may feel as though it's only you that suffers, I promise you you're not alone. Everyone gets their share, we just don't always see it. Pleased you're really happy about your £50, well done. I hope all works out well with your little lad's lump, truly I do, though his broken tooth can soon be sorted out. Life's full of problems for us, we need to be strong!:).....You said it luckycharlie, you're stuck with 527 ..could be lucky maybe!....Well done owlet, how come most of us start picking up pennies etc with our DH's a little horrified - now mine does it readily too!!! :rolleyes:They're blessed at having us!:A....Well done with the £181 saved LC!!! Not so good for me this year I'm sure, but I'm staying hopeful.....Congratulations on the win Our Elsie, I think the £5er each is fair.

Here's to a good week for all.
