£120 Cashback with Vodafone £15 Sim-Only **Now with problems**

Well surprise surprise, the promised date of payment for my cashback has arrived and surprise, surprise, once again it has been moved again....
So far, promised payment dates have been:
Sep 08
Oct 08
Nov 08
Dec 08
and now Jan 09
I hope no one else has taken out a sim deal with Vodafone through Quidco since because the requirement is now 8 months and thats a lot of money over 8 months to not get anything back at the end of it even when it is promised and validated....

Morph3us, when did you take your sim only contract?
I signed up in October on the £20/m with ££90 back after 4 months, so in theory thats Febuary before validation, but £20 with no cash back is a bad deal.
Has any one received any cashback from Vodafone?0 -

I did the sim only for £15 a month (4 month minimum) with £120 cashback via Topcashback.com.
It moved to confirmed a couple of days ago (still showing £120 despite all the problems mentioned in this thread) shows anticipated payment date of 31st jan 09, but think i will be lucky if it does as the 4 months is no where near up by then....0 -

I have exactly the same thing and mine also moved to confirmed a couple of days ago - will see what happens on 31st jan, not holding my breath though;)0 -

I took the Sim out (£20 per month) on 2nd July 2008.
Four months validation period = September 08 payment.
The payment is listed as "validated" so not as if they are saying I did it wrong or anything.....
They are just saying they are "chasing" it.
To the guys who did it through topcashback, you may fare better but by the sounds of it, its the affiliate network delaying payment so if topcashback use the same affiliate then you may have trouble.0 -

If I remember correctly, the topcashback one was exclusive to topcashback only - although when they realised the mistake, they changed both the topcashback AND the quidco offers to 8 month period.
Essentially its a bloody shambles all round, and if it wasnt for the fact I signed up because I am a greedy so-and-so and wanted to bag what essentially amounted to £60 free cash and a bunch of free phone calls for four months - I would be proper upset about it!Don't think I would risk these sort of offers again, even if topcashback do come good...

Morphus have you cancelled your sim only contract after the 4 months?0 -
I was going to cancel it after about 6 months (December) but in the end when I asked for my PAC code they made me a brilliant offer on a contract deal so I went for that.0

Am in the same boat as you Morph3us. My expected payment date has also rolled forward yet again. I have also noticed that my TCB transaction is now 'greyed out'.
I have contacted TCB too and perhaps they will be honest enough to put out a clear statement on the matter to everyone affected.
Tranactions like this always make me loose faith in cashback sites - having lost out on nearly £200 with Quidco I wish all cashback sites were forced to be more accountable for their promises.0 -

Couldn't agree more - I've been shafted on more than one occasion by Quidco. Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for the free money that I've had from them, but most times you have to spend first, and the promise of the cashback influences your decision, so they should make more efforts to honour this wherever possible and to be more accountable.0
