Yes,the audible directions are very good, which direction to turn, how far to the turn and which A road number to join etc. I find her quite sexy but that's just me!

The mapping software is on the included sd card.

Yes, it's basically the same, it's Navigator V3.1a

Noticed that the mapping software supplied is from 2003, have you come accross any changes that are not on the map so far as this is the main thing that puts me off with the maps being just over 2 years old and I have heard the updates are expensive.

Have you used the PDA functions much?

No really I have just ordered one ... read the reviews, some good some not so good, but I can't find a reason not to try it based on the price and the opinions on here.

There is a 14 day return period as well, although you have to accept the T&C's and the link wasn't working ... but nevermind.

Yes, I live on a new development and we don't exist yet! When I sit in my van on the drive the satnav has me in the middle of a field! I run my own business and the only downside I can see is find ing addresses on new developments and new bypasses!

No, I've not used it much yet - only a game of solitare!

Mine arrived today. Unit is as new with memory card and all accessories.
I charged it, mounted it in the car, selected sat nav software within my programmes and hey presto that was it.
Went on a 6 mile journey and was very impressed with the accuracy of the sat nav.
Well worth the money.

Perhaps all the owners can post links to software or free upgrade stuff which works with the unit ?

ie ... Celeb voices, speed camera software, toys etc etc

Stupid question alert

Can the GPS be used while you are on foot trying to find a location or does it have to be connected to your car to get the GPS system working.

Just tried to order and their seems to be a problem on the site at the minute, price seems good as you would normally pay at least £130 for a PDA by itself and can keep dad from getting lost in the car
