  • It is not wireless as standard, no.

This PDA only has a slot for SD/MMC cards. You can get SD wifi cards BUT it would mean removing the maps card. You can also get one or two types of SD card with wifi and 256mb of memory, but they are at a huge price premium.

I got one of these last time they were up. It is an excellent unit. You cannot tell it is reconditioned.

The maps are a little out of date and i cant seem to find an update without paying a lot of money, but otherwise well worth they money.

Had one of these delivered this morning and I think the charger unit is faulty. Before I ring Medion and look daft, can anybody who has one tell me if the charger unit has two silver pins (about 5mm high) where the UK plug adaptor goes as mine has only one and I think this is why it's not charging. Thanks

Yes charger unit should have two prongs whick sot into the UK 3-prong adaptor.

I received mine this am also - looks excellent - but not sure it's actually charging!!!

Thanks for that, I rang anyway and they are sending a new one out.
I think the battery may already be charged as mine works fine without being charged with battery level showing 65%!
  • just got mine this am too, really pleased with it, looks brand new with all the protective stickers, sealed bags etc. The on/off switch on the pda flashes orange when it is charging.

Just about to load all the stuff onto my computer then TRY TO TRANSFER IT ALL.

Will let u know how I get on, might be shouting for help in an hour or so!!!!!l
    Regards

You could only connect to the internet by either having this connected to your internet connected PC i.e. docked or by getting a Wifi card for the SD slot to use with your wireless router. They are on eBay for abut £29 e.g. item no 5853402492.

Ive used PDAs for the internet and for me I thinks it a novelty, not really practical given the screen size. There are some sites written to view on a PDA and some sites which 'sqeeze' the data to fit a PDA screen but its not an enjoyable way to browse if you have an alternative.

However, I did like being able to sync the PDA wirelessly without docking it.

Does this unit give audible directions or do you have to keep looking at the screen as I was thinking of getting it as a present for my dad.

Do you get an SD card with it?
