Good morning people!!!
Thanks for well wishes – good night was had! Bit of a funny journey and then almost didn’t get in – funny ticket story. Nice door man realised I had just been a numpty (sorry numpty – name stealing again) …. And recognised they were ‘kosha’… and let us in. Music was good and great atmosphere!!
LOL CWM – that is spooky – you are my twin - but in the Highlands!! And :rotfl: at becoming their groupies!! How was it?? Hope it was good???
Well we didn’t blow too much money and I bought the tickets a while ago (actually bought them – didn’t put on credit card) so I didn’t’ feel any guilt last night. Especially as all month I have been SO good and not spent a penny on myself at all (other than essential food shopping)…
:rotfl: @ Numpty; definitely invalidate the insurance!! and thankyou - as above - Gig was good
Thanks for advice Smiley G... (like the joke!!) did think that - maybe I'm just best off now I know of an engineer to just bite the bullet (ha ha) and keep my fingers crossed its going to be fine. It's a whirlpool and my dad said one of the better ones at the time, so I may just do that ....
So much washing machine advice - I'm in a 'spin' (geddit) ... ok that was bad... I'm tiredSORRY!!!
Today – Diary is a little quiet (it was a late one )
1) Ring library (work was really busy yesterday - didn’t get a chance)
2) Eat free xmas lunch at work (note; FREE!!)
3) Go late night shopping for present which I know is on a good price on the net – so check local shop has it!
***Go with list and focused (so I don’t buy anything I don’t need)***
4) Try and stay awake :rolleyes:LBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never
Challenges - 2009 - Reduce CC to £1k by December
June - Food £86/£130 * Petrol £50/£80 * Weekly allowance * £80/£1600 -
It was a really good night - I sacked the car and had a few drinks instead though - so budget and diet are both out the window!! The band are actually pretty good as well!! They're getting better every time we see them!!
Glad you enjoyed your gig too!!

Hi LittleEmms
More washing machine trivia.....
Mine's a Whirlpool too, so I reckon you dad's got it just about right!
Don't forget to start an emergency fund with the money you save.
(No more washing machine puns from me from now on)

... actually i think that's something I should
about!!)
CWM - Sounds like you had a good time!! OOps on budget & diet - but its definitely needed sometimes  Hope you are good and had a good day?
Smiley - Thanks for WM advice - although have to agree with your earlier comment - yes you may have to add WM nerd to signature... only kiddingReally appreciated - thankyou! :T You're signature is very encouraging btw!! Well done!
Numpty - thank you- Went to see The Kooks.. (have you noticed how many bands have 'The' before their name now!!). How are you by the way??
Progress from earlier
[strike]1) Ring library [/strike] - Done! Very glad I did as I may have wasted petrol and time going to the wrong one. Found very helpful person - going next week for evidence to back up Council tax claim.
[strike]2) Eat free xmas lunch at work (note; FREE!!) [/strike] MMM it was good!!
[strike]3) Go late night shopping for present which I know is on a good price on the net – so check local shop has it! [/strike]
***Go with list and focused (so I don’t buy anything I don’t need)*** - Errrmmm
Got present (cheap as per net) but did also buy myself a very cheap jumper (in the sale £7). I really have no winter work clothes and my office heating is broke. Please feel free to tell me off here!!
[strike]4) Try and stay awake  [/strike] Managed
Not so good news- letter from Housing Association (rental side of shared ownership) - I'd forgotten about rent arrears. Its not a lot, from when I forgot to change standing order on rent increase for 4 months. I forgot I rang them in November and offered to pay it. Then the LBM happened and it really just fell out of my head. Gonna ring up tomorrow and pay £20 to show willing. Then the remainder on pay day. Just off to add it to signature so I can't forget!!!

Yup it was a great night - although today was a washout - I look and feel like I've been hit by a bus! I just can't handle going out to play on a school night any more!!How were the kooks? I saw them a couple of years ago at T in The Park - although it was mobbed!! So didn't get anywhere near the stage!! We were only vaguely in the same field!!
That's rotten about the rent - I hate when that happens - you get on a roll, and get really motivated - and something comes along and bites you right on the bum!! I got a parking ticket today - so you're not the only one with unplanned expenses!! Last night certainly turned out to be expensive! But ah - it was worth it!!
Well done on everything else you've managed today! Not such a shabby days work for you!!

So sorry to hear that Smarties!! it's never good finding something like that out, especially not in the run up to Christmas! Just turn all your energies to finding something new and I'm sure you'll land on your feet! i worked in recruitment for 3 years so if there's anything I can do then give me a shout! Not sure how much use I'd be, but if you need help wording things on your CV or any interview prep or whatever - gimme a shout!

Good morning my DFW friends!!
Firstly Smarties – so sorry to hear that – that’s rubbishNot fair and very much sucks!! Gonna send you really huge positive vibes on the job hunting front and hope the world is a bit kinder to you going forward… (sorry if I sound a bit like a hippy )… My rent arrears seem so piddly now…
CWM (I really can’t refer to someone as carp sorry – it reminds me of Friends and phoebe’s husband changing his name to carp bag – I watch too much tv:o)
So glad you had a fab night – LOL at being a wash out for the rest of yesterday, I SO know what you mean. If I ever do go out at weekends – I try to make it on the Friday so I have Sat & Sun to recover – and I don’t get really really drunk! (oh to be 21 again and not suffer hangovers )
Boooooo at parking ticket (my friend actually “boo’s” traffic wardens – its funny and not offensive – as you’re not calling them a name or swearing) …. Is there anyway you may able to get out of it, via the Unfair parking tickets advice on here? Rent arrears not that bad really – not in the grand scheme of things, but yes you’re right – just when you’re on a role…. However I’m feeling more of a nip in the bum than a bite thank god!!
Anyway – rambling again!!
Today’s things to do; (Update - 2.05pm)
1) [STRIKE]Ring Southern Electric – check when first gas payment due out (changed over to them) as no money left the bills account yet and just want to know what’s happening when!![/STRIKE] Done - not til 2nd January - using half of put aside payments to pay rent arrears - keeping half just in case!
2) [STRIKE]Ring Housing Association – pay some rent arrears[/STRIKE] Done - Paid £10 more than I thought I could afford
3) Ring Sky –- Reduce broadband package as not using the bandwith I took (am paying £5 when it could be free)
- Take off music channels as don’t ever watch them!!!
5) oh and do some work of course
Have a fab day everybody!!!
