Hola Chiquita!!
The cinema was grand thanks! Although, it wasn't exactly what you'd call an upbeat film! My boyf wasn't quite so keen - but I think that was down to the complete lack of humour in the film (I had a few wee chuckles to myself at some bits - but no-one else seemed to see the funny side!) - Anyway, if you're in need of a perk me up, it's one to avoid, but it's something a wee bit different - so I enjoyed it!
I don't think making money has ever really been a huge priority for my work unfortunately - I think they've only made profit once in the 40+ years they've been up and running (we're kind of tagged onto a bigger company, and we're a means to an end in supplying them with the product they sell) - so it can be a pretty strange place to work at times!!
I suppose I should go and do some work - but I reeeeeeaaaaalllly can't be bothered today! I sat up late talking to my mum last night, and I'm paying for it today!!

Thanks Retro - they are yummy (if I do say so myself
) and well received by b/f on friday and friend on saturday!! I think I may go add them to the Recipe board as they're not mega MS but are a good MS pudding that looks posher than it costs!! If I do - i'll post a link!!
Thanks Laura on film lowdown... I did hear its an 'emotional' one - I only just watched 'Pursuit of Happiness' the other day (well for the second time - but hadn't seen it for ages... - such a good film.
Your work do sound a bit strange, but like you said - a means to an end I suppose!! Cor what would they do if they actually made profit ?!?
Oh well on the late night hun, we all need to talk.... in fact according to BT - its "Good to talk"... I have a guess what about (could be wrong, sorry if I am) but I think you needed it xx
Right back in a mo with things to do!!!

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
So today I am going to /have done;
1. Put bday deposit money (from friends) into bank acct at lunch time, and subsequently moved into another account - so I don't think its mine and spend before friday!
(when popping into bank in town to deposit money – didn’t spend any (money I haven’t got) in other shops!! Just went there and came back! YAY ME!! well there was veg tho (see below)...
2. Sent off Council Tax claim form... fingers crossed with that one... really not thinking its going to happen.. so if it does – I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
3. Bought my lunch in for work (been doing that very well & regularly since LBM - scary how much that costs you!!)
4. Worked out another dinner for me & b/f from cupboard/ freezer – apart from buying some veg at lunchtime…. only a £1 worth mind you.
5. Drank 4 out of waters at work for the day (they're big glasses!!) nearly there!!!
So other than the £1 on veg… (which I don’t have any frozen) its been a NSD… not sure if that qualifies – but almost does!!
And last night I surfed the ‘Occasions board’ looking at relatively cheap but still cool birthday ideas for birthdays in March as going to get 2/3 items in February so March isn’t as scary!!!
Laters alligators!!

Well done you! :j :T I broke my NSD to buy a pack of mints, but mum put a mammoth pile of raw onions in my tea last night - and 4 teethbrushes later - the mints were still a necessity!! - Nice image eh?
I did actually reply to your post on my diary - but MSE timed out on me! - How ruuuude!! I will reply (again!) later!!
Enjoy your very MSE dinner - I'm sure the £1 worth of veg will just finish it off!!

Laura – I hate it when you type a long reply and it times you out!!
Happened to me a couple of times – so I’ve got in the habit now – if I know I’ve been writing for a while, I copy my text, paste in Word or something (or just keep on clipboard)… then if after logging back in, it hasn’t saved it for posting – I only have to paste!! – I’m such a nerd…. :rotfl:

Well good Friday my lovelies… I hope everyone is well despite this frigg-ing miserable weather
Today is pay day for me (sorry to those who still have a week to go)… but it couldn’t have come at a better time for me!! And yes I still had £30 left in main account and £10 left over from petrol/ food shopping/ bills account. I have decided to put the £30 towards my car tax – I now only have to find £30 out of wages (its £100 for 6 months
).. and the extra £10 is going with £30 credit from BT to pay my Rent Arrears – that is then FINITO!!!!!! YAY!!
For the first time ever though – I have money put aside for my car tax!!
I have been a little tiny bit naughty though– and ordered myself a semi-luxury birthday cake… it is my 30th and I’m not having a party. Friends are coming out with me to a restaurant and I know its going to be a lovely night… but I wanted a nice birthday and I’ve got one (well 2 actually because of numbers). I’m not buying a new dress – or shoes or anything – I’m making use of the things in my wardrobe – so I figure that this is my one present to myself and a nice way of saying thanks to my friends who are coming out (when everyone is experiencing financial strain).
I am going to work out over the weekend, some proper budget and how much I can pay off things. And so will be back at some point with a month ‘to do’ list
Hope you’re all good?LBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never

I think you certainly deserve the cake! For my 30th I don't think I'll have so much restraint! Well done you.Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044!
