Well here’s how I’m going:
1 & 2 - had done earlier!
3. Hopefully a NSD ….. - Nearly there!!! Must resist temptation to stop at garage to get some nice bread for stew….
4. Call Sky – reduce broadband cost (I’m out of contract today! ) DONE
5. Check bank online (make sure all good there) DONE – All ok at present!
6. Work out birthdays & putting aside correct money each month. Errr – not done yet
7. (Healthy) Drink at least 5 large glasses of water at work - 1 down already – and one trip to the ladies :rotfl:) on number 4/5 (glasses not loo trips )
Adding to the above; I need to phone BT to reduce monthly payment to BT for line rental. Worked out I only need to give them £15 a month, been paying £20, have £28 in credit so gonna see if they’ll give me that back! Or at least £20 of it!! :j
Have checked in on the grocery challenge… all sorted for joining February, and I've set my own challenges to achieve by end 2009.
I suppose as well I keep forgetting that when I get one debt out the way – I can chuck those payments at the next debt… and I’m being good that any money left over at the end of the month is going towards debt and not on a treat for myself!!
Have a lovely evening everyone! Be back tomorrow!!LBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never
Challenges - 2009 - Reduce CC to £1k by December

Morning... (in a whisper) I'm sneaking in and perhaps shouldn't be .... :shhh: (must do work!)
Just an update - YAY -BT agreed monthly payments down to £15, that's another £5 off monthly bills (along with Sky) that's £10... see they all start to add up!!! and they had no qualms in giving me my £28 credit.... that will be back in 3-5 days and will go straight off rent arrears (which I had deleted from my siggy by mistake) Then I'm only left with £10 there!!! Which I should be able to add myself if my petrol usuage comes under budget!!
Today is to sneakily work out birthdays, get some more petrol & bread, milk, and a few little bits. Am praying that friend is happy with Spag Bol as I have most of the ingredients already ... including a nice garlic bread in freezer!! ... off to text her now!!!
Other challenge is 5 large waters today!! Managed 4 yesterday
Hope you're all wellLBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never

Thank crunchie its Friday!!!!
Ok well its only one week until payday… so yes I’m counting good and proper. I currently have £30 in the account, £10 in purse and I’m think some money left over from petrol budget.
Any left over from petrol budget is going towards car tax. Any left in account is going off of credit card.
I’ve worked out I have 2 months no council tax (wooohooo) – a little bit of that will need to go on car… it’s not got much wrong with it, but a little bit of money. I think with the remainder I pay off the credit card.
I’m doing really well on groceries lately… not so much in keeping under my late dec – jan budget as obviously I bought extra Christmas type food, but in terms of making stew’s, chilli, etc – so dinners are stretching further than before.
Back to drinking more water – only 3/5 yesterday – booo.. am 1/5 down already today!!
Not sure if anyone’s still reading – but coming on here makes me feel I’m answering to someone so I’m carrying on!! Lol!!

Well done on budgeting to get you through to payday!!!
I really do need to improve day to day planning - just simple things like getting stuff out the freezer the night before, making sandwiches the night before and getting organised to do more in the slow-cooker!!
Have a great Friday!!! Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
I'm still reading away Emms! - Sorry - it's been a horrible few days in work, so I haven't had the chance to skive on MSE as much as usual! (How ruuuude!!!
).
Well done on all you've managed this week - sounds like you're defo getting the hang of it!
You're lucky you've only a week 'til payday - I've got 2 - and only £57 to see me through!! Boo!! Off to the cinema tonight (using up the first of the tickets we bought in bulk - so won't cost anything - Very MSE!! :money: ), then out for my friends birthday tomorrow night. Can't decide whether to have a few drinks or just take the car - hhhhmmm - already refused the chinese they're ordering in before we go out, to try save some cash! - So suppose I can maybe squeeze to a couple of vodka's!Dilemma's - dilemma's!!
What you got planned for the weekend?

Oohhhhh - I quite liked the idea of havinga a stalker.... :rotfl:... thanks for checking in girlies, just nice to know its still being read (and more than anything there are people to kick my @ss when I'm not being good!!)
Slow cooker - I tend to chop all veg the night before - into a tupperware and get anything else needed out of cupboard ready to bung in.... there's no way hos! I'm chopping onion first thing in the morning!!
..... and Laura - your company expecting you to work... I mean come on... I have the same problem here - just who do they think they are!!?
Yay on cinema... and well done on the saying no to chinese :T (that's so hard epsecially on a weekend when you should be able to treat yourselves). I would say have a couple of drinks if you said no to chinese... its still good to do something now and again as long as within budget!
me & the b/f going to start doing orange wednesdays... what are you going to see? As for me, b/f over tonight - he has 'man flu' so just cooking him a nice dinner. Then friend round for wine & spag bol tomorrow (I have mince in freezer and garlic bread - so good news all round!) I even used my nodle and bought some creme fraiche to go ontop of (already in the freezer) frozen fruit to make pudding - just small fruit brulee's! So can defrost fruit tomorrow....
Just managed £15 petrol which should get me through next week til payday - then hopefully everything else will be left over... I'm determined not to use up the last £40 just because its there.... only if something urgent comes up!
Here's to will power and a fab weekend everyone!! :beer:LBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never

I'm impressed with your impromptu MSE dessert as well - I did a cookery course at the end of last year - learned loads, but means anything I go to make costs a bloomin' fortune!!
We're going to see the new Will Smith movie - I'm actually quite excited - 2 whole hours of drooling over hunky Will!!Although apparently he's gone and made himself look all old just for the move?! Hmmmmppphhh!!
I sent away for an Orange Sim card a while ago to do the orange wednesdays - but I've never actually used them! My boyf's in the police, and they can buy half price tickets through the social union thing he pays into, so we've stocked up on a few of them instead!!
Anyway - back to the grind stone! I wouldn't mind so much - but my bosses keep changing their minds about what they want from us!! gggrrrr!! - Spent a full week doing reports, to be told today "Eh - actually, best you just scrap them, and start again next week...... The system we've been using is all wrong" It's enough to drive you to drink!? - Well - that's my excuse any roads!!
Have a good weekend Emms - and enjoy all the lovely food it sounds as though you're making!!

Still reading too.
Have a good week!

Hi guys
Laura – how was film?? (very jealous on drooling over Will Smith!!... I have a huge crush on him … have said it’s a good job he doesn’t live in the UK… I would end up stalking him :rotfl:)
That’s handy on the b/friend and half price tickets! Great MS help!!! Well its funny you mention orange Wednesday’s and will smith movie – am convincing the boyfriend to go in a couple of weeks time!!
MSE dessert went down well – I had frozen summer fruits, small berries, raspberries & blackberries – so a little bit bitter, but the crème fraiche with the ratafia biscuits sweetened them up. Know what you mean on cookery courses/ books – stuff does end up costing a fortune!
I’m trying hard to squeeze money out of the last drops – which if I can do on a dec/ jan month – I can definitely do going forward.
Boo at your job!!! They sound silly and money wasting!! (surely it costs to have your employees working on something then change your mind!?!?)
Good to know you're still there Retro too! Thanks for reading
Right I’ll be back (Arnie style) with list of to do’s later!!!
