Whilst I can understand why they only want customers who are entitled to a discount code to only have it, why doesn't there system only allow those who are only allowed to

You cant blame people for trying we all want to save money. I know other web sites only allow specific codes to work, ie currys, comet, ebay to name but a few

I agree with you. It seems to be a lull to get us bargain hunters hooked and then stung! We shall see. . .

    Can they do this?????
I think they would be better off cancelling the orders otherwise they will get lots of returns.
I agree that their system is at fault and they have got to share any blame.

Yup its done the same here. I wouldn't have minded so much if they'd phoned or emailed to advise. We all know the code was a big risk but taking the money off the card (a week before delivery and despite sending confirmation saying otherwise) isn't on, imo.

This is a very good point. I think they should email people who did not qualify and not take an amount we did not agree on. I think it would be less work for them to cancel orders. I have tried to cancel but it says you have to return the goods once you have received the goods. I would not mind so much if their prices were competitive with other retailers. Still I suppose we live and learn!

I'm gutted they've taken the full amount:mad: I can't believe they can do this. I honestly thought they just wouldn't send the order if the code wasn't right:eek:
For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.
  • they have also taken full amount from me, in transaction history where it usually shows refund it doesn't show any, just £52 pound something taken. Ahh well still got some good bargains.... you win some, you loose some this is the chance you take when you enter these discount codes

You've lost nothing but time, return the items.
