Sky increase prices by 2.12%

It isn't. As usual.
What made me laugh today was all the Chavs in the supermarket bumping their gums at each other, complaining that the prices of ordinary groceries had not gone down with the VAT decrease...
That might just be because THERE ISN'T ANY VAT on most foodstuffs, unless they are classed by HMRC as 'luxury goods'....
Anyone remember the Jaffa Cakes court case?
All you never wanted to know about VAT on one easy website:

Asda had signs up on the baby clothes aisle saying the prices were not affected because there's no VAT on these items - handy for the chavs LOL!0

Sky will not be passing on ANY of the 2.5% decrease in VAT to customers and instead increasing ALL it's prices by 2.12% tomorrow.
Poor showing by sky
Sky have been doing this for YEARS. Don't pay and go with Virgin.0 -
Freesat now give free HD, this box is much better than sky+ box costs is £292 but this box as the latest chipset state of the art
Freesat has 2 part time HD channels, BBC which shows promos most of the day, and ITV's HD channel which you have to press the red button as its not on all the time either, to SkyHD's 30 channels !0 -
Is it just me who received a letter today advising of a further price increase? So not only have they not passed on any VAT saving but they are now putting prices up yet again! From March my package has gone up another £5 a month and so will my Sky broadband. I've sent them an email to say how unfair I think it is but think maybe its time to shop around....
There is nothing about TV packages going up. Broadband packages are going up £5 in March if you do not have Sky tv.0
