Phew I am absolutely shattered, and my foot is starting to really give me jip now, so I am calling it a night rather than get all irritable with DH while he is sorting out dinner.
The chocolate cake is now in the freezer - I shall get that out friday night ready to ice first thing Saturday morning, so it can come with me in the afternoon to the local flymeet on Saturday. The cheese straws are open freezing, once they are done I will bag them up and put them away.
I have also bagged up 12 meals worth of carrots and they are now in the freezer too. That has got rid of that glut of carrots that were accumulating from my veg boxes. I must admit between us, DH and I managed to munch on a couple - ooooh they were so lovely and tasty, much better than supermarket anaemic ones..lol.
Tonight I will write the remaining cards, pop stamps on them and leave them somewhere where DH can see them and post them for me tomorrow while walking the dogs.
I think I might do an hours worth of stitching too, then go to bed with a good book.

Well due to doing a full week at work this week (normally only work Thurs & Fri), I haven't had time to fly
I don't know how you full time workers do it all. But still having been flying for a good few weeks things are pretty much on top and it wont do no harm missing out this once - besides with me and the OH out at work all week and the Little one causing chaos over Nana's the house is surprisingly tidy! Well it was until today :rotfl:
Seeing as it was such a lovely day I decided to get out the front and do some work, the front garden is very small I have a hedge at the front and a lovely Eucalyptus tree at the front on the right hand side the rest is shingle. So my task was to prune the tree, there were quite a few low overhanging branches that needed sorting (even more so since a bus hit it a couple of weeks back) So that was done and all chopped down to fit the garden rubbish bag - there still is one branch that needs sorting but the steps were too small and I don't have a ladder. Also collected up all the fallen leaves and racked the stones over too.
While I was in the swing of it I also went through to the back garden and did a bit to the Silver birch and also next doors Laylandi which is slowly taking over the silver birch an blocking at lot of the late evening sunshine (well late afternoon this time of year!) More needs doing again with ladder. Managed to chop it all down a fill the boot of the car and whisk it to the local tip just before they closed!
So all in all I think today's garden work has made up plenty for the lack of flying!Trying to make a better life.... If you need me you'll find me at the allotment.0 -

The GOOD NEWS is I have just paid off my Debenhams CC
I have a £2000 credit limit on it...AND I HAVE CUT IT UP!
I have used the snowball debt calculator to see when I will be debt free and it's 16 months. I now know which debt is costing me more so here I go.
:money:
Wow well done Valli that's absolutely fantastic :T And you won't be tempted to use it anymore either..
Here's to the next 16 months :beer:Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

I asked for evenings and weekends when I was interviewed, mostly so I dont have to pay out for childminders for the kids. The shifts I've got mean that DP can have the kids while I work, and he can spend some 'quality' time with them. (He'll soon be begging me to quit tho.... my boys are a handful when they really get started lol)
I love it when its busy too, time goes by a lot quicker. Saying that, I havent worked for nearly 6 years so I hope I can handle the pressure, especially with starting work at christmas time lol.An' It Harm None, Do As Thou Will

SummerMoon - :T well done on surviving the first day. I used to work at Safeway (before Morrisons took over) and remember the lovely videos  Did you see the one about how to pack a bag? Are you training on your own or are there other newbies too?
Valli - :T well done on the credit card pay-off! And for cutting it up!
I think I am going to have a lazy evening cross-stitching and watching something on the tv"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
"I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night" - Bon Jovi0 -
Sounds like fun Summermoon
I thought about getting an evening job again but because of Mr G's shifts it's near impossible!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

We put ours up today - DH's birthday so that's when we put it up. I don't have a 'theme' - I like a variety of different decorations on it. This year I have 10 nutcrackers (I've been after some for years and managed to get some from Tesco this year :T). Also found some 'gingerbread' lookalikes from Tchibo which are really nice. The children's name baubles are up, plus tiny stockings etc. DD2 (3) insisted on putting up the chocolate decorations :rotfl:(I told her not to put them too low in case our resident pesky mouse had a nibble - I found a chunk out of the bread the other day with a corresponding hole in the bag ).
Earlier I had to nip to the shops for something. I got two items - £1.09 and 84p. The young man behind the counter had to use a calculator to add them up
DH has taken DD1 has gone to her party and DS is in tow (so he sees as much of her as possible. He loves her to bits even though they always argue:rolleyes:) so I need to get DD2 off to bed so DH and I can watch the new X-Files film tonight :j
ETA: That's a long waffle :rotfl:0 -
Morning all.
This weeks list is NOT going to be finished . . . again!!
I'm off to work in 30 mins, still got to get washing on the line before I go. If I'm up to it, I might run the vacuum around when I get home. I really want to get Christmas decs up too, maybe I'll start by getting them out of storage tonight . . .If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . HEHE, we werent subjected to that particular video! There were a few people on the ones we saw who were trying for oscars, I'm sure.
There were 4 of us starting today, 3 of us are checkouts so we'll be training together. We are already getting along pretty well, so it should be fun lol.An' It Harm None, Do As Thou Will
