It's Good Housekeeping The Family Cookbook
That one? Ah same as Toots found. I have seen that in the charity shop I was in a few weeks ago but didn't buy itI am trying to be good. Nearly £40 new, wow, you can tell when something is in short supply as someones always wanting to cash in.
Toots, I think we'll wait because I don't know if he's giving him it for Xmas or his birthday which is 10 days after, however I think it will be a must as he's a tad obsessive usually, just hoping it does the trick in getting him outdoors more, it's not an expensive one but something to try with him rather than the crowbar I currently use to get him outside. My DS2s the gardener, Grandma has got him gardening things, he loves growing stuff and admiring other peoples gardens. In 'growing time' he had almost daily lessons at the local F&V shop which is owned by a keen gardener/allotment owner who gave him seeded spuds, carrot seeds, peas etc to grow, she's lovely with him. We popped in almost every day after school for the next lesson.
Kaz if you're going to Vision Express, just a possible tip, DP went the day he got tested as the appointment was late, didn't buy his glasses, anyway 2 weeks later they sent a £50 off voucher in the post for him to go and get his glasses (something along the lines of you came to see us for an eye test but didn't buy any glasses etc) might be worth hanging on if you can. Oh then there is also loads of places you can get them done online cheaper. Oh and WOW well done on that list!
I need to decide what I want for Xmas, DP says I can't have house stuff again, waaaaaaaaI want a Remoska (it's that Triker's fault!)
Pleased DP got the car he did and not the one with the 'runflat' tyres, he's just said someones gone to order tyres for one and they won't have them until February! That's shocking! What if someone gets a puncture? They can't use their car until February...One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks lilme - I am going to vision express and am not in a hurry as work gave me the voucher for a free test 6 months ago so will definitely wait as if they send me a voucher I can keep my fingers crossed that I can use it with a voucher from work if they confirm the changes ae needed for VDU work.
As for Christmas the remoskas are brilliant (we have a grand) and if its what you want tell himMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
You've just reminded me, kaz - need my eyes testing, I get the eye test paid for and some payment towards glasses if changes needed due to VDU as you say...Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Hi,
Hope everyone is well and welcome newbies/returners. So far today I've looked at the bungalow with my parents to check what odd jobs we need to do, been to B & Q, spent time with my great niece and nephew, done errands and laundry. Am going to write my shopping list and then off to bed. Goodnight!0 -
Last time my sis came she handed me a bag and said 'I have bought myself this...thought you would like to give it me for xmas...' job done;) I did pay her for it...
So far this year, I have ordered 2 presents for my mum to give me and one for my aunty to give me, one for my mum to give my aunty, and one for my aunty to give my cousin!! Oh, and I emailed my dad the links to some things on Amazon I'd quite like so he can get one or 2 for me! He is quite happy to order online, but mum hasn't quite grasped the idea!
Watched 1408 earlier - I like a scary filmand also Outnumbered and MOTD, and finished cross stitching another card

Oh no not you aswell Kaz
I feel all left out. He's said no housey stuff
but that is what I like/need. He only gets cross when he buys me jewellery as I hardly wear it. He did say no housey stuff last year, so in a tantrum I bought myself the donut maker I wanted, then he got me one aswell and now I have 2 :rotfl: Remoskas are expensive tho......suppose it's another thing to find space for. It's a shame the voucher as arrived with his name on, could have sent you it.
I think I'm just about done for Xmas presents now apart from DP, who's had about £150 of quad bike stuff already so will just be a little something to add to his so the kids can give him something to unwrap, waiting for about a dozen deliveries of course but all ordered/paid for. Think I only went to a shop for the Autoglym sets (3 for 2 in Halfords DP got one for his present and 2 others for family) bag of pre owned games for DSs and Lilliput cottage for Mam which had 60% off in a sale, rest was ordered online. I still however need to buy wrapping paper (I wonder if Sainsburys.....maybe....will have a look) and cards for family then I am done I think apart from food shoppingno last minute dash for me!
Watching Shanghai Noon, :rotfl: never seen it before, very funny!
ETA as noone else has been in, don't want to be weird and talk to myself- Done 500 emails deleting for my MACAW and because the party was free
(paid for by council so that makes it even better!!) spent nothing today either.....
One day I might be more organised...........
