Next time you go shopping, pick up a whole cucumber and 2 halves (but the 'shorter' end ones not the 'handle' ends. Now measure them. You'll find the 2 halves are usually longer! (and the 2nd half is still sealed and may keep fresher longer too!)
I do this each time I buy cucumbers and check the price of the whole and the half. If 2 halves are much bigger and the price works out better, I will buy the two.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100 -

Wow I realise now I got off lightly.
My last annoying one was I ordered 1kg of frozen chicken breasts. Instead they sent me a bag of battered chicken burger things! I realise it is still chicken but you cna't make curry, stew, kebabs etc with battered burgers. Couldn't they have found fresh chicken breasts that I could have frozen myself?
I also ordered lamb steaks (something which is NEVER available whenever I order it) and got quaterpoounder burgers as a substitute.
I think ASDA are trying to make me fat!0 -

I found it took as long to place the order as it did to do the shop myself!
Not had any weird substitutions as I don't use it often, but I found it annoying the items I wanted most were ones were no subsitution was there.
Online ordering hasn't reached the human touch yet - which one will actually think it best to phone the customer with alternatives and let them decide?0
