I have had a book arrive in a crispy findus box postman was lol at that one.
Also a beaded dress arrive in a smiths crisps box it was stapled flat all round the edges. I carefully opened it to find they had stapled the dress. Pretty much ruined it. Total muppet at least they refunded.0 -
I only have a problem with carrier bags being used when the seller has charged postage and packaging. If I pay for postage and packaging, I expect postage and packaging, not postage and a free bag the seller got from tesco. And it's nothing to do with not caring about recycling, I recycle as much as I can.
I had a seller send a PSP with no packaging at all, just stuck it in the RMSD envelope, and had the cheek to charge £20 p&p.Sigless0 -

No! ot like that! I mean I wrap it, and then put it inside a padded envelope! just going that little bit further (and left over wrapping paper I cannot store!!)0 -
lol, I am a seller, Well it's my parents buisness but I do all the ebay side of it.
Anyway I always wrap packages in a professional manner, but today I let my dad wrap up some plates that were sold.. I came back to find the item wrapped in bubble wrap, covered in that white polystyrine, seloptaped in a dismantled box. It looked like car had ran over it!
So as per usual an argument broke out, but there is no way I'm sending an item in that state!!!
May see if I can get a photo of iton here later...0 -

I received a parcel last month that was wrapped in the cheapest, nastiest, flimsy Christmas paper you can buy. It of course arrived in shreds held together by a bit of tape. Fortunately the bubble wrap underneath saved the contents from damage but it really hadn't been thought through. On the other hand, the postie at the sorting office wished me a merry Christmas.
I also hate it when sellers don't appreciate that the box an item comes in is often a very important component and just stick it in a bag to get bashed to bits en-route. :mad:If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...0 -
Hi guys well I always reuse padded envelopes that i receive ebay and Amazon parcels in. I use that brown paper you wrap things in in Ikea and so that gets recycled. My hubby has tons of electrical equipment boxes from work so i use them for padding. I reuse bubble wrap wherever I can. The labels are usually written on the back of paper ready for scrap. The only thing i buy is parcel tape. I am loving them black Next carrier bags at the mo as i turn them inside out and have a lovely red parcel when completed. DH took all 10 parcels to post on his way to work so no petrol costs either. It can be done and still look professional!Don't lead me into temptation I can find it myself! DFW LBM 03/11/080
