I used some kingfisher vouchers in Woolies on Tuesday and they accepted them fine.
I tried Comet and they refused them.
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700
    :TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Is it not very odd that Kingfsher Vouchers (they own Bent & Questionable) refuse their vouchers in Bent & Questionable and point us towards the failed Woolworths, who are NOT owned by Kingfisher?

Comet who stopped taking them a couple of weeks ago are NOT part of Kingfisher Group, so their refusal is much more understandable to me.

Interesting that Sir Geoff Mulcachy, seen by some as the a major player in Woolworths demise was offering to buy up to 500 of its stores on Wednesday.

Sorry Pips Mum, I didn't mean to imply you had said 'it was odd'

What I meant was that I personally thought that it was odd, and wondered if other people thought so too

Let's get the public to know whats happening.

"Name and shame Bent & Questionable and their 'daddy' Kingfisher Group for their mis-doings.

  • Hi, not sure if this is the same for Kingfisher vouchers, but I had a 25 pound Woolies voucher. i asked the manager for advice as to what to do about it and he said buy something for 50p and as we are no long issuing vouchers we will have to give you the cash. I did not have the voucher with me but when i did I went into another Woolies and tried this, at 1st they tried to merely deduct the 50p from the gift card and return it to me, I argued and after checking, they handed me 24.50 in cash. Hope this helps.

incidentally I bought something with a 10 quid debenhams voucher for a couple of quid the other day and they returned the change in cash ( over 7 quid from a 10 voucher)

Debs have always given me change o a giftcard ( only £1 2 weeks ago) so wonder whether debs might be going the same way?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • I tried my voucher in B&Q on Saturday and was given a note to explain why they weren't accepting these vouchers (.. because Woollies are in Administration etc etc). On this note they supply a freephone number and address of the Woolworths Gift Voucher Centre....

    0800 146500

    The Gift Voucher Centre
    PO Box 141
    Castleton
    Lancs OL11 3DZ

Not sure if that'll help anyone but if you've got a lot of vouchers it may be worth a try if all else fails.
