Kingfisher group (comet, b&q, woolworths) vouchers suspended?

I few months ago I received £150 worth of Kingfisher vouchers from my employer as a long service award, These were valid at B & Q, Comet and Woolworths until this tuesday when Woolworths went into the hands of the administrator, I assumed being Kingfisher Vouchers these would still be valid at Kingfisher Group companies Comet and B&Q, Comet will not recognise them and say the vouchers are owned by Flogistics (part of woolies), I am awaiting an answer from B&Q.

  • I had only just received £200 worth on Wednesday to spend in comet, but they would not accept them. fortunately I was able to return them in exchange for Currys vouchers. I did contact Kingfisher vouchers this morning who said that Woolworths and B&Q were still taking them, but for how long!!!!!

I always spend vouchers immediately. I got some capital bonds and had two days to spend them before they went bust.

I think you should check your facts as this is not correct. Capital Bonds are still in business and their vouchers are still accepted.

  • It appears only Comet have stopped honouring the vouchers at this time, as 2 B&Q stores I phoned will still take them, and the Woolworths branch said they were sure they were still valid.

I have used £20 of kingfisher vouchers in B&Q today, along with the 15% discount too. I did check with the cahier first and he said there was no problem with using them.HTH
  • Comet haven't been part of the Kingfisher group for over a year now. I used to work for them and I could use my discount card in Woolies and B&Q but that all stopped just before I got my first house ~ typical eh?

    I also used a £10 voucher in B & Q today - no problem at all.
