For those of you who enjoyed the first of this 2-part documentary, I thought you might want to know the follow up starts on Thursday 11th January at 7.30pm ...The programme is now called "Did They Pay Off The Mortgage In Two Years? "

Excellent news. I thought I had missed this and there was a similarly named property show recently wasn't there?

Yes, Channel 4 did one with Sarah Beeney - people were trying to pay their mortgage off in a year by property developing overseas. Not sure if any of them actually managed it, I only caught a couple of episodes.

I'm looking forward to it too. We haven't got a clue how anyone else has done.
I found out today that our programme has been moved from next week and will now be the 5th of the series to be shown on Feb 8th.
We are going to a private screening next week in London of the whole series hosted by Rene and I can't wait to meet up with the others.

Im looking forward to it tonight - will be good to see if there are any new money making ideas, as most of the families didnt look like they would succeed in the first series!!!
  • I'm so pleased Dan and Lucy were successful. What a lovely couple and a great idea. The HotPod looks superb! I'm very jealous.

Wow, so pleased that the lovely couple from Cornwall Dan and Lucy managed to pay off the whole mortgage. I thought they would.
  • May be just me but immediately after they were given the final lump of money, didn't the presenter say "...now you've paid off your mortgage, you might like to work out what you owe the tax man....."!..If so, isn't this a little bit of a false position they were allegedly in?

Fair play though....the couple obviously had a lot of talent, and I thought the Hotpod was great.
  • Another one here who's really glad they did it - thought it was a bit of a cheat with Rene buying one to tip them over though!

Still didn't seem to be much about how much tax they were going to have to pay on that lot - quite a bit with a profit of £103k between them.
