Good luck, since I applied in August I heard nothing until yesterday when Halifax wrote to me to ask for proof of my debts, took their time. I posted by special delivery proof of debts and all the info, so they can't say they did not get it. I will ring them on tues to chase it up, they are a joke!:mad:No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

i have today recieved a letter from halifax saying basically i carnt claim under hardship as my account is closed is this right and is there any thing i can do now why did nt they tell me this weeks ago instead of it costing me a fortune in sending letters and ringing every other day:mad: still waiting on halifax claim

My personal opinion is that they are correct and that you should concentrate on the account that is live and open. To clarify this, did you close this account of your own accord and it is 100% closed?i have today recieved a letter from halifax saying basically i carnt claim under hardship as my account is closed is this right and is there any thing i can do now why did nt they tell me this weeks ago instead of it costing me a fortune in sending letters and ringing every other day0 -

Halifax closing it is slightly different. Are they your main account? When did they close it? Was the account subject to a bank charges claim even prior to it being closed?halifax closed it because i wa just getting charge after charge its defo closed is there nothing i can do then will i av to wait till the test case is over0 -
no they closed it in feb 07 i was on income support at the time and had no money i now bank with yorkshire bank i first put my claim in on aug 07 but then went down the hardship route in aug last year:mad: still waiting on halifax claim

If the account is closed then I would say that my original advice would be right UNLESS you are repaying them for the account? Has all the fees been paid off?no they closed it in feb 07 i was on income support at the time and had no money i now bank with yorkshire bank i first put my claim in on aug 07 but then went down the hardship route in aug last year0 -
