When I first claimed hardship they said I was not in hardship, even though my account had been closed for over 4 years. When I did have an account with them it was in such a state that I got over £1000 in charges. Anyway they talk rubbish, I just rang them and still no news

You and me both. I called them on friday to be told it was in the right place(the hardship claim) and they could give me no info. Its been going on since August, if you ask me they are not even looking at my claim and are stalling things. grrr gets on my nerves. I can not stand them and would never bank with them again:mad:

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as Catmiaow. My claim's been in since the beginning of September and every time i call them i feel like i'm banging my head against an extremely solid and abrasive object. The last time i called, about 2 weeks ago, i was told that i really should stop ringing and that they were dealing with claims that were far older than mine at the moment. "Fine", i said, " could you please give me an idea of what date the claims that are currently being dealt with are so i have a rough idea of whether i should be looking at weeks or months until this is resolved". His response was to laugh and say that would be commercially sensitive information that he had no intention of giving out. If they had any clue whatsoever ( and let's be fair, they can see my account, they KNOW) then they would stop scratching their proverbials and pay up. Sorry to fill you with doom

They state they will look at hardship claims, it appears to me they are not looking at them. So why say you are going too Halifax if you do not?!
