Don't get me wrong I don't like banks, they are greedy souless institutions who make money out of our money and then preach to us about fiscal responsibility.
However, you might have noticed that we have a financial crisis on our hands and actions like yours only make it worse. despite the fact you have got some money back it's not the bank whom you have taken it off it's the ordinary joe in the street. Yes he's just like you trying to do the best for his family.
Capitalism is teetering on the edge and believe me if it actualy tips over the money you have recovered from a bank will be as nothing when you are queing at soup kitchens and have to protect your possesions from the marauding hordes with a weapon as law, order and society breaks down.
Why do you think governments all over the world are pumping trillions into the global economy? Because they KNOW what the consequences of a full scale financial collapse will be. SCARED? You should be!
EDIT TO ADD; Don't forget the company that arranged your little smash and grab will want it's cut so you wont be debt free.0 -

i thought you said it was the loan that you got wiped off? And anyway, whatever debt you're talking about, YOU didn't clear it, did you?
What is the point of your original post anyway? It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?0 -

As others have pointed out its not the banks who will lose out due to your actions, its other people. People who might also be struggling. If your existing debts that are not written off suddenly have the APR changed to 100% APR to cover the cost of people getting out of their debts would you be as happy?0 -
Has anyone used a company that cliams they are able wipe your credit card(s) balance's clean or in part ?
For all credit cards were signed prior to April 2007 only, apprantley they claim there is a loophole in the contracts that were taken against.
This company claims that Credit Cards prior to April 2007 are a given and clients have a 99% chance of writing off the balance in part or most case in full.
They operate on a No Win No Fee Charge if the Card(s) claim(s) are succesfull, however there is a set up fee for the initial card and then there after for every other card you may wish to pursue the charge is reduced. (Both rates are a fixed fee and have no bearing on the Credit Card Balance's.
Anyone know what I am referring to ? or have been sucessful in this process ?
Your comments feed back would be very much appreciated.

Massive con. Don't pay anybody anything up front, they will rip you off, keep the money, and do nothing.
There is some advice on this on the the main MSE website about challenging credit agreements. It's certainly worth requesting copy agreements from credit card and loan companies because sometimes they have "lost" them and so the debt is technically unenforceable.0 -
Was the debt with a DCA ?
If it was, I don't see how getting this written off should have any bearing on any other debtors.
Even if it was with the original provider, I would say the loss to the bank will be minimal compared to the losses they have suffered on the financial markets of late.
Besides, don't worry, if the bank goes down, our so called government will bail them out and simply increase the National Debt. No Problemo0
