  • typed it once then had PC trouble so assumed it had been "lost"

I wasn't accusing you sparkiedave. Apoogies if it came across like that..
  • I think its just a common query and people arent sure of how to use the threads.
Im a newbie user too so not too sure on how to search or a lot of the terminology some of the more experienced moneysavers use.
Also its one of those "too good to be true" offers so naturally, people want to check it out before doing anything - rather than do what I did and check after the fact!!!!
There are a lot of companies advertising on the radio and stuff and trying to make themselves heard so more people are hearing about it.

For anyone who's interested. I'm trying to halt my process of doing this "credit card wipinmg" and just accept the fees i've paid so far are the result of my own stupidity.
  • After a messy separation, losing my job and falling behind with credit card and loan payments 2008 has been the worst year ever.

I got in touch with a company to discuss the possibility of an IVA or a Debt Management programme to take the burden away of the constant calls chasing money.

However, they told me about the new flaw that has come to light with credit card and loan agreements for those taken out before April 2007.

Good news at last has headed my way - I have just had notification that a loan I took out in 2005 for over £5,000 with Barclays has been completely wiped off and (it gets better) I will be receiving money back for interest and payments made. (And better still) I have more credit cards in dispute and will hear back shortly with regards to those. Yippeeee roll on 2009.
  • ...and we will all suffer the consequences of people like you who like to live it up on someone elses money, Thanks

And hopefully when you try and get credit in the future you will be turned down.

Perhaps one day you will get shafted by a credit card company using a loophole of its own.

How exactly were the credit card companies 'theiving'?

You took their money and spent it, now you aren't going to pay it back.

Perhaps a little rethink here on who is being dishonest.

Maybe if the credit cards weren't so gready and passed on the rate decreases my rate of interest wouldn't be 22%.

After reading your post I assume you are waiting for the reaction of 'good for you, can you you tell me what company you used so that I can get my debts wiped off too?'

I suspect this may be spam...
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?

No doubt the interest rate is set so high as they viewed you as a financial risk. Seems they were right.

Out of curiosity at what interest rate would you start doing the honest thing and repaying the money your borrowed?
