Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

you can't dispute the text in red though ...lol

quote from the BBC web site :-

The couple decided to take their remaining creditors to court over loopholes they believed they had spotted, and in an attempt to set a legal precedent that may benefit others. But the case was dismissed by a High Court judge, who said the couple were wriggling out of debt.

Well knock me down with a wet fart! The british legal system has one judge with an ounce of common sense! :D

  • Guys, like i said in previous posts...i had a joint income with my wife until i lost her to cancer then my debts spiralled out of control. The bank wouldnt accept reduced payments at the time. They passed me from pillar to post. The straw that broke my back back even further was the impending court action letters. To lose my wife 6 months earlier was where my heart and head was at. I heard about debts being unfair and got help with it, best case scenario happened to me. I got my debt cleared. The jusge said that i would get compensation but he went one further and cleared the debt.
Im not tellingn everyone to do it but i was giving people (who i assume are o here becuase of debt) a little bit of hope. If you can do it yourself with knowledge and time then do it. i used a claims company and their legal team. please dont kill me for it. thought i'd help people thats all. if you have ever lost a loved one then you may undnerstand,
much love.. but you wont catch me on here again. good luck with your debts.

Cleggy I am so sorry to hear about your wife, I was not aware of your situation, I can only appologise if I have caused you any upset, don't chuck the towel in as far as MSE goes, everybody will have some positive input on the forums and although we may all not see eye to eye on all subjects I draw the line at causing any major upset to the point an MSE member chooses to leave the forum.

I think the people who are using loopholes to get out of paying their debts are possibly going to regret it one day when no one will lend to them. The banks and CC companys are now talking to each other apparently, and sharing information on customers, probably stuff we would never have access to on regular credit history sites.

A short term gain could lead to long term pain, as the Rankines found out.

    I think you are right.

And who can blame the banks/cc companies?

The people that try this on are, quite simply, not credit worthy.
