I just found out I had been lied to, again! and now the letters for IRC 60370 wount be sent out until AFTER th 14th of Sept. So that will make it Two months after the interview date until I find out the result.

Thankyou DWP! It looks like I am goin to have to take the worse paid job.

Good Times! good luck everybody else
  • Not sure if this helps but but im applying for the HEO South Yorkshire position. I have tried to post you the link but it wont let me post it on the thread as im a new user? If you to give me a email address ill email it to you. Ill try again later though. Might as well apply for them all. Have you done the online tests yet for the HEO role?

Think i might be in the same boat as you? Im waiting for the CRB check and the call reference 60535 as i was successfull and am also on the waiting list number 66 for the EO role 60541. I have been told though they recruit in batches of 40 so im really 26 on the list as 40 off the list are due to start shortly. Hopefully i will get the call soon......

    Hi

Its ok, thanks. I have found it now:rotfl:

Just had the online test thingy through, but thought I had better check the job description before I attempted it:confused::confused:
  • On the 4th Aug i attended my competancy based interview for IRC 61505 at a hotel, my interview was taken place inside a hotel room which was very strange, but the manpower reps were very nice and tried to put me at ease.
At the end of the interview they asked whether i had any questions and i asked a few regardind the job but, because they knew nothing about working for dwp or anythinthing regarding the job, they couldn't answer any of my questions, Daon't know why they asked if the couldn't answer any lol.

Anyway yesterday i recieved my crb disclosure from the dwp, and today i recieved a letter saying thank you for attending the assessment day. I am pleased to inform you that you have been successful.

We are now undertaking pre-recruitment checks and you will be contacted again once these are complete to confirm whether or not we are able to offer you a post.

Has any1 else recieved a letter like this and does that mean i will be offered a job or could i still be unsuccessful.

I can see why you've jumped to that conclusion, but a more accurate one would be that some letters for 60370 aren't being sent yet. I know for a fact (I've seen one) that some letters for 60370 were sent last week.

The one I've seen was a waiting list letter. My current assumption is that they've sent letters to everyone who failed, and everyone that they know they won't be placing immediately. I know they're still doing further interviews for 60370, so assuming there is a limited number of EO positions in this area it's likely they are waiting until all interviews are complete before sending success letters and any remaining waiting list letters.

So for now I'm of the opinion that not having a letter for 60370 is a good thing, as it means we'll be either successful and receive offers for the first placements OR we'll be very high on the waiting list.

    Hi

Have a good read through this thread, and also the other one headed 'DWP employment waiting list'. You will see that there are many many of us in the same boat:rotfl:

Re IRC61505, I also applied for this position and the IRC61509, both interviews I have rec'd success letters. I have previously been down this route earlier in the year, the only difference was last time I was told I was on a waiting list. I was a little bit more optimistic this time as no mention of waiting list, if you read through the threads the indication has always been that if you receive success letter you will have a guaranteed call and if a waiting list letter, the call could be if it ever comes, 6 months down the line. I tried to call the DWP regarding current timescales, also they were unable to give me any idea how many they were recruiting. Really cheesed off with the whole process, but like a lot of people I keep putting myself through it as i am desperate for a job. I wish you well, if you do get any updates do a post and I will do the same.

    Hi there!
I am in the same boat as you (and hundreds of others) it seems. I had my Competency based interview on 18th August and received my success letter (same wording as yours) on 20th August. Goodness only knows how long the checks take. A friend of mine has been waiting 5 weeks for her Disclosure Scotland - its only meant to take a fortnight max. I dont have any nails left with worrying - I really want this job.
  • Woo and yay!
    All is forgiven DWP!
I recieved my letter for IRC 60370 to day and I am pleased to report I was succesful. The next set of interviews I am informed will be on the 9, 10, 11 and they hope to send out all the letters on the 14th.

Obviously they will have to carry out pre-employement checks but one of the hurdles has been, well, hurdled.

Good luck to everyone waiting or preparing for interview. My advise would be BE YOUR SELF! Manpower are scribing everything you say and so try and get your personaliry across enough so that the decision maker at DWP can see your somebody they want to employ.
