Job Interview with DWP

Hi everyone, can anybody tell me how long it usually takes from when you sent your application form off to receiving a letter on the selection tests? Thanks for any replies, I'm really hoping I get at least to the next stage but haven't heard anything back and it's been a week. Am I just being impatient?

In a word - yes.

So far from closing date to hearing back it has been (for me)

3 weeks, 4 weeks, 3 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 days and still waiting for 2 that have been a week so far.

Well, it's not long until the interview - really looking forward to it! Again, thanks for all the help and advice on this thread.

Hi all - I had an interview for an EO position IRC60540 for the west yorks area, I think it was on about the 8th of July. Had a letter back from them on thursday (so a very long wait) to say I had been successful - just wondered if anyone knew what the checks are and how long they generally take to get back to you to let you know if they can offer you the post, start dates etc. I don't really know much about it all!!

Argh I have left my passport in Scotland, so have no photo id for tomoro - they are not going to interview me, are they?

They have been really strict in the places I have been to interview - so I would imagine they will turn you away. What about driving licence?

I got turned away because my passport was 2 weeks out of date, even though I had my photocard driving license. I had to go back the next day with my birth certificate. Was worth it in the end though, good luck!

Thanks guys - I just phoned up to ask and was informed that ill probably be turned away, but there is another application I am going to put in today for another area of Manchester so all is not lost - thank god, I could have kicked myself!

Can anyone tell me how I can get any info on DWP jobs on the Fylde Coast. They have a couple of big sites at Lytham and Blackpool an I have a 21 year old graduate at home who needs a job.

just type in 'dwp vacancies' in google and the site comes up, look on there regularly there always advertising.
