The IRC for the one I was successful for is 60535 (AO). No mention of a waiting list, gotta wait for CRB checks though.
I did the interview for South Yorkshire so does anyone know if that means I can only ask for a position in South Yorkshire because I actually live in West Yorkshire. Hope not as that will be one hell of a commute every day.

    Many thanks and good luck.

I thought that you had to work in South Yorkshire for the SYorks interviews. Did you apply for the West Yorkshire ones as well ?

I did apply for the West Yorkshire as well but haven't heard anything. I wouldn't have thought the process would be any different anywhere in the country but they probably will only allow me South Yorks'. Although my mum was offered Barnsley and Wakefield, but that was earlier this year.
Well I'm really grateful for the job either way.

    Thankyou.

yipeee, my letter arrived yesterday as i got home from work, successful for AO irc60535 also applied for EO but didnt get that! never mind still really happy with my result and theres alos the option to apply internally for the EO.

CONGRATS to others. Iv failed 3 EO interviews now but you just have to keep applying, its diff cos you know you can do the job but its getting ur examples across clearly. however im extremley pleased with my result for thAO result and am now waitng for a start date. my letter says that they are doing crb checks etc.

Apparently they are trying to speed the process up. I hope so. They don't realise how many broke people are waiting on this!! My overdraft badly needs paying off! :p

I met a few people at my EO interviews who were already in the DWP as AOs. They were on fixed term contracts so allowed to apply but apparently, permanent AOs were debarred from applying.

hi from what i know those on the fixed term or temp contracts are able to apply for EO roles that become available whilst you are working for the dept. its only the same as those that currently work there on whatevet contract apply for promotion. Iv not head that if you are on permanent contract you can apply as i have freinds who work there applying for promotions to EO regularly.
