Have you heard back about your EO interview yet? I've still heard nothing now and it's been 12 working days...
Someone i know went for an interview on Tuesday and was told there's now a 3 week turnaround.... The not knowing is killing me.
No news yetWent for interview for AO as well last week, and they said the results would be about 3 weeks, so maybe they realise they cannot get the results out in the 10 days they stated initially ! looking at other post on here, people have waited more than 4 weeks for their results, while some get them through in a week or so !
Like you, its driving me mad
Had a call from JCP this morning, about the West Yorkshire vacancies. they said that there was a glitch in their system, and people that they wanted for interview were not called, so they are looking into it, and going to get back to me.0 -
I just have had my interview. Do they take into account your test marks when deciding whether you are successful? As i only just scraped through on the lit test....took too much time to look properly and before i knew it 8 minutes were over!!! I dont think i read that last paragraph, i was so nervous though i am surprised i got a pass, my eyes were going funny! My interview went okay, my nerves had settled but i did blabber a bit, and they had to prompt me a few times. But i stayed upbeat and smiley, hopefully i did okay. Just worried that the bad test mark will mark me down over all!!!
Oh, and they told me today that it could take up to 4 weeks to hear about the results, as the scale of the recruitment was so large. Which is indeed frustrating, especially if you wait all that time and don't get the job!!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -

The test score does not count it is just your interview score that matters0 -

at least you passed and you got through the interview. You must feel like a weight has been lifted.
Was it as stressful as you thought?0 -

Well, i was mega nervous during the test, hence why i was too slow, my eye's were going funny!!! I was sure i would fail the literacy as i was panicking as i did it (i got A for English lang in school, so i feel ashamed!). After the test had been marked i got told i had failed and so i picked up my 'fail' letter, with my tail between my legs, feeling really rubbish, to go home....luckily i decided to read my letter before i left and discovered i got 16 for the numeracy paper and 10 for the literacy paper, which for the AO post is a pass!!! I went back to the woman who was in charge of the testing, and she confirmed they had made a mistake, and someone must have put me into the wrong pile! She was very apologetic when i pointed out i could have been all the way home before i realised, and missed my chance!! Thank god i opened that letter!
Anyway, i was so annoyed about that kerfuffle, it distracted me from my nerves and i was more confident in my interview. Still not sure if i will be picked, as some of the people there looked like they had years of experience. But i gave it my best shot! Only a month to wait and find out! Haha! :j"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -

I am seriously annoyed now. When I called Newcastle this morning I was told that no calls have been made yet for 60638 interviews and nothing has been processed yet for 61075. OK, this is all well and good. So I go for an literacy/numeracy assessment today for 61298 only to show confirmation of me passing this previously and to book in my interview for this.
It's only by chance they sent me to the wrong table, they sent me to the table for 61075 applications, I then realised that this is the assessment centre for both 61298 and 61075, yes, I was told by Newcastle that the applications for 61075 hadn't even been processed yet. I explained to Manpower that I applied for both but I only received an invitation for 61298. The Manpower people said don't worry we can book you for both..I wasn't convinced at all. So What I did was I got my interview booked and confirmed for 61298, I really want an interview for 61075, this is AA level which is lower than the AO of 61298.
I am really not convinvced now about what Newcastle said about expecting calls for 60368 from next week as 2 weeks from deadline seems to be the norm, the deadline for this was 02/07. It wouldn't now suprise me if the interviews have been done for this exercise already.
I am annoyed by the fact that I was lied to regarding 61075, the assessments are taking place for this today only, luckily for me I have already passed it. I really can't miss out on the opportunity for these interviews. I think Manpower and/or Newcastle messed out my paper work somewhere along the lines, and thats even before taking the interview! one thing is for sure, incompetence is rife amongst Manpower and Newcastle.
Any help/advice is appreciated.
Thanks
This is for anyone that might be interested:
ok, so this morning I called up Newcastle, explaining that I hadn't heard anything regarding IRC 61075 (AA level), I was told yesterday that the applications hadn't been processed but in actualy fact there was a literacy/numeracy assessment centre taking place for this exercise. The man checked the database and confirmed that I had in fact passed the initial sift, but there was nothing he could do as a third party (Manpower) were booking the assessment centres and interviews.
I then proceeded to call Manpower, the lady checked my system and said I wasn't on there, I had failed and theres nothing that could be done. At this point I was well annoyed. I then called Newcastle and was given another number to call. Once I got through the lady checked the database and confirmed that I had passed the initial sift (appararently the score is out of 130, I scored 112) but due to the sheer volume of applications for this exercise they only took the top x amount of candidates and the rest are to be placed on a waiting list. She said letters would be sent out to those on the waiting list to apply for this exercise in future.
I just find it a bit weird that they are to place candidates for a waiting list to even apply for the position. I have applied to AO positions and got through the initial sift, this was for AA and I didn't make the top x amount. Oh well.
Anyways, I don't know what to expect for IRC 60368, the deadline for online test was 02/07, I haven't heard anything. The lady claimed that calls would be made for interviews from next week. Maybe I should give them another call on Monday.0 -
I have woke up in a cold sweat because of thunderbolts story, I am now not sure if irc 60283 the one I am waiting for clearance from is an AA or AO position, please god let it be AO. Help please.0

Congratulations to all those who have start dates, and sympathy to those of you still waiting. I start as an AO on Monday at my third choice JCP. Anybody know what the first day is like, as I have not done this kind of work for years. The JCP I am starting at is the same one I have been signing at for the past 6 months, so I do know a few people, which helps. My time line was Interview 1st June, success letter 24th June, Offer 20th July. Pretty quick, I must admit. I had an offer exactly a month prior to this for a neighbouring county, but withdrew, because of cost & time. They do the checks for all exercises, because I received a second DS copy with a different number. I did notice that a JCP not far from me were advertising directly on the JCP site for AO positions, temp contract up to 13 weeks, immediate start. Strange one that, when so many people have been waiting so long. Immediate start! However, to inject a touch of black humour, a chap called Denis Nielsen is doing a life sentence for murdering 16 men in the early 80s. He was an EO at Muswell Hill. Before he joined as an EO, he was a policeman! Do you think the waiting list pushed him over the edge!!!!??? Anyway, best of luck to all who are starting on Monday, I believe that there are a few, and any feedback on what happens on the first day would be appreciated as I am as nervous as hell!!0

To all those people who haven't got jobs in their preferred jobcentre don't worry about it because if you stick at the job after a year or so you can get transferred.
