  • definitely not a quick process for the posts in Leeds. It is dragging like hell. It is now 6 weeks since the closing date for EO applications and 3 weeks since the interviews but still no news.

Any news yet of outcome? 3 weeks is long, dont know what's keeping them? Maybe different areas (my one based in London)....but then everything is still sorted by the main office in Newcastle.

During my interview, Manpower were organising everything. They let everyone knew that those who had interviews would definitely receive a response in letter within 2 weeks from interview date. If we never heared anything within the two weeks, then we were to ring the jobcentre plus service to chase it up. They gave a leaflet out explaining this with the useful telephone numbers. The leaflet also explained that those successful background checks would be taken, and this could take roughly 12 weeks to complete.

    Chase up on it.

On Thursday it will be 3 weeks since my interview in Leeds, I was told I would hear in 10 working days or 2 weeks I guess.

How do you hear? Letter or email?

Had trouble getting interview details as they sent details out to wrong email address, I gave them right one and they input it wrong!

Do you think its worth chasing up yet or wait?

They were interviewing 150 and Capita did not know how many jobs or where.

Anyone else heared? AO for West Yorkshire

Not me - my EO interview was 3 weeks ago today and my AO interview will be three weeks on Friday.

Probably is worth chasing up now but as you know we did all our CRB forms and the other forms (how many were there?) on the day so if we were successful it will take ages to do all the checks. Maybe not hearing is a good thing!

I have my interview on Friday. I am soooooo nervous, literally shaking in my boots already. I am worried i wont even get passed the literacy and numeracy tests because of my nerves, never mind the interview! I have never had a proper formal interview before and i think the dwp interviews sound quite hardcore for a first timer! I really want this job though and would be gutted if i didn't do well at least. I lost my job earlier this year and have found constant rejection since, my nerves are just about shot! Just need to keep myself under control, or it will ruin my chances for sure!

Any tips or advice? How hard does the numeracy test get? Does anyone have an example for me of a question? I guessed the example questions with the email was an easier question. It is what i am least confident with, so would be grateful to know what i am getting into. Thanks for any help :)

I've just had my interview at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool. There were quite a lot there, about 25 in my group - one went before us and one after us. The literacy test was quite easy but I struggled with the numeracy questions - passed both by the skin of my teeth tho !!! The interview was the most nerve racking but the interviewers were really nice and prompted you if you lost your track I was told about five to seven working days for their decision so hopefully won't be waiting to long. Glad its over though !!:j

I hope not hearing is a good thing Counterfeit!! I had my interview for EO position in Leeds 3 weeks ago yesterday and I haven't heard anything either. Although 2 days post interview I received a call from Capita, they said they were processing my paperwork, and i'd missed my mothers maiden name from the form, before I had chance to ask if that meant i'd been successful, he had said thanks and hung up! so dont know what to think ??  I dont want to get my hopes up, just in case it was a mix up?!

I've got my interview in Liverpool at the Holiday Inn also. So worried about the numeracy now!! Just tried some numeracy tests online and got 3 out of 10 on one! Not good considering i got a B at GCSE!!! I think it sounds like there are loads of people having interviews so i probably don't stand a chance, dunno if there is any point going really :(

It's hard to believe that such a large organisation can keep getting this wrong in region after region. Why not just tell us that it will take 6 weeks plus to hear back. Then, if we hear back in 3 weeks we are delighted. All they are doing is creating (literally) thousands of anxious and stressed interviewees.

I was worried about the numeracy - they give you a calculator and two example questions before you start to see how you do - same with the literacy. You must go - don't give up now - there were about 25 people in the tests and more than half went through for interview so you stand a really good chance.

I get so nervous that i'm worried i wont be able to concentrate, just worried it will make me feel worse if i do badly and don't get through. Is it all percentages and fractions? Haven't had a formal interview quite like this before, so it's a bit daunting! My family aren't very supportive so i have no one to reassure me really. I badly want to get this job though (like everyone i suppose!), lost my job in Feb and haven't had any luck what so ever since!

Thank you for your help btw, Hope you are sucessful! :)
