Job Interview with DWP

So much of the process is focussed on delivering good customer service. So why is it that the customer service I've been getting from them as a JSA recipient is so terrible. (Not to mention the mess going on with the 60369/60370 job applications).

Seems from what I've experienced to be a problem with their systems and defining who is responsible for what. A lot of room for improvement, really.

What time did you have it and how did it go? My passport expired 2 weeks ago, so they said I have to go back tomorrow, damn! Took me over 2 hours to get there and back.
All the other applicants I saw were older than me which I think is a bad sign for me.

Thats crap !!! Have you got to take in other ID then? It depends what day you go in as to what they accept for ID. Once they accepted my out of date passport, and the other they wouldn't, and needed my Birth Certificate etc.

Where do you live - seems a long trail an hour each way!!!

My interview was at 11.30 am, but only just made it in time :rotfl:There wasn't many there at all. When I went a week ago for the EO interview, there were Hundreds ! (well, thats what it seemed at the time:rotfl:)

Interview was basically the same as the EO interview. Interviewers were very nice, and made me feel at ease after my last minute rush ! Will have to see now - really wanted the EO position, but applied for this as well just in case.

I notice some of you are having interviews this week at Hillsbrough
I had an interview there on the 14th July and have not heard anyhing yet
I applied for IRC 60535 (AO)
I was told they were interviewing 600 :eek: that week, so I am amazed they are still interviewing this week

Which AO reference are you guys being interviewed for this week?
Just wondered if it is the same reference as I applied for

Not really. My partner is currently in a similar position ... has a letter saying she was successful (no mention of a waiting list) pending the pre-employment checks being done. Apparently the disclosure scotland was sent off a week ago, but the disc.scot people have no record of her... Fun times ahead.

As for me ... read back in this thread for my story. Got a pending AO app that was re-opened, and a pending EO app that I'm waiting on hearing back about the interview for (interviewed on the 16th).

No mention of a waiting list on mine either, but with it takin so long, I am becoming concerned that there may be nowt left for me.And as a result I end up on a waiting list.

I had to travel from Wakefield for the interview but when my mum did it she had to go to Leeds for the tests, then Sheffield for the interview so she had it worse than me.
I've got to take my birth certificate tomorrow so should be ok. There were only about 20 people in the room when I had a look and some of them were probably staff, much less busy than I thought.
They are doing interviews at this location for the rest of the week the guy told me.

The AO interviews this week at Hillsborough are also for IRC 60535 ! There were not many there this morning though.

I had interview on the 17th July for the EO position, but not heard back as yet
