I've got an interview in Liverpool tomorrow with the same four competencies - I haven't got a clue what to put

Just try and think of what questions they could ask for each one. For example, the customer focused service competency is obviously going to be about customers. Prepare to answer a question about a good or bad customer and how you dealt with it and what were the outcomes. That's the easy one!

I think building capability will be about your own development and skills. Analysing... will maybe be about a time you adapted or improved something? And a proffesional service, for me, is quite similar to the first one so unsure on that.

I have mine in Cardiff tomorrow. I was told to read over the competencies that I did on my application and the ones listed on the website. So all in all I have got about 12 that I have prepared for. Granted some are similar, just worded differently.

Yes, the Customer Service and Professional Service seem to be about the same thing - Analysing and Improving - I think this may be about adapting to different circumstances, for example moving home, and Building Capability - I've used a time when I had to learn a new computer package - do you think this would be ok?

Sounds ok. Read the criteria for the compentency and make sure you construct an answer that hits as many of the points as possible.

Yeah, it should be OK as long as, like Ferrian says, your answer includes what's mentioned in the bullet points. I read down the thread to try to include a mix between work, personal and educational answers.

I think what they're wanting to hear is what the problem was, how you dealt with it and what the outcomes were.

I noticed on the Competency framework (Delivering a professional Service) sheet that there's info on Leading and Managing People and Performance too. Has anyone been asked a question on these ?

its the crb check that seems to take the time.

i had interviw for Sunderland AO post on 15th June, received letter stating I was successful, on 1st July, found out today that CRB had finally been sent out to Newcastle who seem to be dealing with the Sunderland applications.

Needless to say I been ringing the one contact number I have as I am desperate to start as I lost my previous job on 12th June. The woman said if I hadn't heard aything by next Wednesday, I should phone her back and she would give me the number of someone at the Sunderland end to chase things through. This is realy !!!!ing me off as I know peeps from that interview are geting start dates for the back end of august/start of september.

Am scared that I may end up on a waiting list, I need a job and I just want a start date so I can organise my life. I have quite a bit of debt since losin my job that I cant meet repayments on, and I have spoke to a couple of free DM companies who have stated they will help me once I have a start date, so you can see why I am so frustrated is there anything else I can do?
