I got asked 4 questions like everyone else. The exact same as those i talked to afterwards. That's why I think they assess the professionalism area in your answers to the 4 instead of making a 5th one.

And thanks for the link, I was told I am a newbie so am not yet allowed to post links.

I called the Jobcentre people last Friday and they said they are busy with the ICR60076 applications and to expect replies to start trickling by the end of week beginning 20 July. I hope it's not going to be a long wait. Any idea how many people they want to recruit? Coz there were plenty interviewed.
I can do all things through him who gives me strength....:A

hmmm, I was wondering whether anyone could help with this. The following are the competencies for an exercise I applied for:
    Behavioural competencies
    • Professional competencies
    Customer Insight (43KB)
Delivering a Customer Service Level 1

What I don't understand is Customer Insight, Delivering a Customer Service, isn't this the exact same competency as Delivering a Customer Focused Service. When you check out the Customer Insight .pdf..why is this competency here twice...or are they different. Are there 3 or 4 competencies for this..I'm confused...

    Hey Thando,

I think we may have been in the building at the same time, i also had my interview on the 26th at Baskerville House at 10am. I was thinking of calling them on next Monday as I was expecting to hear something by now cos everyone else seems to get an outcome within 3 weeks but i guess i'll have to wait another week if you've been given that info by dwp.

They interviewers didn't know how many are bein recruited, they didnt really know anything about the vacancy. The wait goes on....

    Hi

I have recently attempted for a EO post for the second time but yet again scored 10 and not the required 11. I know a few people have talked about the literacy tests already but can anyone offer some more advice or some of the errors. I believe there a 3 different documents for the literacy test and failing due to the fact I am unable to spot a further error is really frustrating.
So once again if anyone could offer some advice of the not so obvious mistakes (or maybe I am missing the more obvious :S ) then I would be really grateful.
    Thanks

Thought that the new on line test replaced the numeracy and literacy tests:confused:

Some are still using the literacy/numeracy tests.

They are still doing the assesments tests as I went to one on Tuesday. The pass rates we had to get were 9 out of 15 for the literacy and 10 out of 20 for the numeracy. Now we had 8 mins for the literacy and 18 mins to for the numeracy which isn't that long when your working things out on a piece of paper and a calculator. I've never known time to go so quick.

I managed to scrape through with 9 and 11 which was a little disapointing at first. But I got the certificate that says pass and means I won't have to go through it again. It was surprising how many folks failed either the one or both tests - I'd say only a third of us passed the both. Saying that I'm sure there was people there who had failed either one or both previously and were resitting it/them.
I was also told that there are a couple of similar but different papers for each tests that are rotated . Not sure how true this is but something to bear in mind if your taking on peoples advice etc.

As for tips I'm hardly in a position to offer any directly regarding the tests as I only just passed. What I will say is just try and clear your mind and read and read the passage - some things will pop out and hit you, others are not so obvious. On the numeracy I think I spent too much time trying to answer the questions in order rather than doing the ones I could and going back to the ones I wasn't sure about. I ended up guessing a few at the end when the lady said "1 minute to go" !!

I'm curious about something regarding the actual interview - are you asked 4 questions on EACH competency or 4 questions in total ??

Yes, as far as I can tell they are exactly the same. However, you will get asked one question for each of them. I'm not really sure what the point of this is, but I was asked two different customer service questions as well as the other two competencies.

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up for me. You're right, that does seem a little strange, to have the same comptency twice.

Do you remember what the two customer service related questions were.

I guess the obvious one is, give me an example of when you have given good customer service....what about the other..give me an example of when you have dealt with a difficult customer, perhaps..not sure.
