Hi guys, just thought i would register on here and give you my perspective.
I had my interview for IRC 62979 was on the 26th October, to this day i've not had any letters, but i have been calling Joanne one 0191 216 2488, she told me yesterday she had spoken to Amy Hemple who seems to be in charge or part of the team in charge of this IRC, and i was told the letters were sent out on Tuesday and to expect them this week. Me being me i didn't get anything today so i called Amy direct and she told me just now that the letters were only sent out yesterday.
I have a feeling they are just saying anything they like regarding the letters being sent out as people on here have already received good and bad news regarding the job.
Anyways if you want to call Amy she is on 0191 216 6631
Hey Guys,
Just thought id let you know that they usually take about a month from your interview before you recieve your sucess letter, also after that they do pre-recruitment checks which seem to take forever and then dont expect a job straight away i had my interview on 4th Aug and recieved my sucess letter on 1st Sept and am still waiting to be given a job.
Its just one hugh waitng game im afraid0 -
I received my letter today, which was dated 18th Nov. It said what they told me over the phone, that i was successful and that i had to wait for the pre employment checks before they could give me a post.0

Well i just thought i would update everyone, i emailed the people who do the disclosures and they confirmed that DWP sent them my details on the 17th so hopefully it means something positive.
I think it is really good though how everyone on here has got together to help each other. Much appreciated everyone0 -

Would you be able to let me know the address you used to contact those who do the Disclosures please?
I called Manpower again today. A lady I spoke too rudely told me not to call again at least until the end of next week. She said all letters have now been sent out and so I should hear by next week at the very latest!0 -
this is the address i emailed: info.disclosure.scotland@bt.com
i got it from a few pages back on here.
Depending on who you speak to at Manpower they can be rude. I spoke again to some bloke this afternoon and he took my name and number to call me back and never did, didn't expect him to really after hearing the way he was speaking, hey ho they should be happy they have a job!
Hope you have some luck with emailing those guys.0 -
Well, after receiving no post today i called again and basically stretched the truth and said i had my success letter could they give me my interview scores and position on the merit list.
He asked for my NI number and confirmed i was joint 1st with 2 others out of 650 i think.
He also gave me my scores for the competency based interview, i scored 36/36 ( i wanted to know how i scored here so i could tailor future EO interviews accordingly)
I have heard from Scotland about the CRB, the received it on the 6th and is currently at vetting stage and should be complete my middle of next week.
Just have to wait to hear from hiring manager now as the next step.....
It seems there has been a lot of 'fobbing' of for certain people and that was not on, just give us consistent answers and above all, truthful ones!
I wish everyone on this IRC good luck and best wishes.
Maybe some of us may end up working together, i personally am looking for a role in East London or Central!0 -

Congratulations!
I was actually thinking to do the same thing. Call and say I had a success letter and I would like to know how long roughly before I would be offered a post. I would then be either confirmed as successful or they would of had to of broken the bad news.
Anyway, I just wanted to say I have just had a call from Manpower. I have been asked to take the Lit and Numeracy tests for an EO role. (Got the irc for this one. 63908). My test date is this Thursday, so fingers crossed, if I do not get this one, I have the EO postion to fall back on... I hope. x0 -
Does anyone know if the IRC 62979 is a 18 month contract or 12 month contract?
On my success it does not mention anything about a waiting list, is this a good thing?
Please could someone advise.
Thanking you in advance.0 -
Hello people,
I got my success letter this morning. They are now conducting pre-recruitment checks. So this is where the infamous waiting process begins.
@Miss Ray- the length of the contract for IRC 62979 is 18 months.0
