  • Viper - it possibly depends whether the jobs at WHU were for the same IRC as your Job interview at Paddington

Yeah, they were for the same IRC post. IRC62979 to be exact.

I can confirm that is the exact IRC i attended at West Ham FC.

The areas they asked me to rank as preference (1 & 2) were East London and Central London, these were the only options for locations for that assessment to choose from.

hmmm, that's interesting. I had lots of different area's to choose from, across the whole of London, but I didn't have 'East London' specifically as an option. I put 'City and East' as my first choice (not sure if this means east london), and 'Central' as my second choice.

Just curious, do you live anywhere near where your interview took place. It would be a bloody joke if you live near Paddington, and they sent you to West Ham, and I live near West Ham and they sent me to Paddington!

If thousands of £££'s worth of travel expenses weren't at stake here for me, I would probably find this funny.

I live out in Essex, near Southend to be precise.

They probably just gave you a list of districts to choose from opposed to choosing areas i.e. East London. "City and East London" and "Central London" are two districts. The fact that you was sent over to Paddington for your interview rather than West Ham was probably due to the incomptence of the Manpower staff not knowing anything about locations. They did something similar for my interview.

I went for an AO interview which was for a London wide recruitment, I was given an option to choose locations, my file was sent to a district that was miles away from me which resulted in me being offered locations that wern't feasible for me. I did manage to change locations but again it wasn't my local London district.

    Good luck to all.

Has anyone here applied for IRC 62995 London??
  • Why o why are the Dwp still recruiting when they have a freeze on and dont know when its going to end, seems stupid to me.
  • yeah it is stupid and a load of rubbish what they are telling us.
they say they are conducting this recruitment exercise to meet the needs of future forecasts, so that's more people who will be messed around.
