561.07 to HMRC today - debt left over from a much-debated tax return (we filled it in, they lost it, we filled it in again, they lost it again, we filled it in in the office with them, they lost it and have no record of us being in, we filed a complaint, they've passed us from pillar to post - arrrgh!) As it's been dragging on and accruing sodding interest for nearly four years now I'm just going to bite the bullet, pay it & no doubt spend another four years trying to wrangle it back.

Even though this is 'alleged debt', it feels great to be cheerfully prioritising paying debt rather than dragging my feet and resenting every penny!

Keep up the good work guys - we're all doing brilliantly!

I love that feeling! (Not that it happens often!)

Just had a little play with my free scratch card money so they don't close my account and won £500!

(only problem is it will now go onto my paid off credit card. Never been in credit on my credit cards by that amount :rotfl: )

    Hi all

    No more money paid unfortunatly.

I think the interview went well and I should hear either tomorrow or Monday so everything crossed everyone!

On the plus side I have found some more jobs to apply for... not really what I want but its work and I might also have the possibility of doing some temping work where I worked over a year ago cos someone walked out and my name was put forward. It would mean moving away from my hubby on the Isle of Wight and back in with either my sister in law or father in law for a bit but we survived that last year when we were apart for 8 months and its money. Hubby was very supportive when I mentioned it and he said "oh you could treat yourself to those shoes now".... no I'm not going to get those shoes (unless I get some vouchers for my birthday on sunday) untill I have cleared a debt. That seems to be my way of dealing with this at the moment and more incentive to clear the debts (and then save for the shoes). I'm going away for a few days so I may not be able to post on here until I get back on Sunday but will if I can.

Keep up the good work everyone!!!

Good luck with getting a job, If you want I can have a look at your CV as thats what my profession is, and see if I can help improve it, PM me if you are interested :) - Anything that helps you complete this challenge!
