  • Payments gone out to 2 debts today, only small amounts but it still means the totals coming down. Really looking forward to next month when hubby gets his bonus, i should be able to take my total so far over the 2k mark. but still £35 for me today, roll on feb!!

    Not paid anything off for this post BUT managed to get 2 new 0% balance transfer cards to shift the £3700 we owe to lloyds, this is going to save us £60 a month so i am well pleased! one for 9 months and the other for 14, given that i am going to be debt free by the end of the year i am not going to need this long am i??

    Also i might have to borrow some money to buy the land behind my house, so i will have to rework my finances

  • Have finally got my bottom into gear and calculated how little interest I will be getting on my ISA in April, I think I may sack it off and just chuck the money straight onto my 0% card. It will also be far more motivating that way and will stop me getting the 'but it is my money and it is a nice lump sum' pangs when it does come round to clearance day. Seriously, I made twice as much on one £280 hotel booking via quidco than all year of this just sitting there. I guess I just don't think it is worth the energy.

    Watch this space for a chunky payment in the next wee while.
