Finally, I have left the starting block... with the princely sum of £66.84. Should have been more, but the spending has been a little too erratic this month :o I've got a lovely pale yellow section on my spreadsheet to list it all - happiness :D

I've been meaning to join in one of these, and I need my butt kicking into gear.

I'm embarrassed to say that as I'm living pretty much below the breadline I can only try to pay off £5k over the next year - I know it's not much but better to start small for me, rather than aim high and not make it cause that will make me feel crappy.

Anyway....I'm aiming for that - so put me down for £5k please Hypno :)

Thanks and let's all support each other to do this over the next year!!

    Welcome DreamerHelen,

5k sounds like a very respectable amount to me! and that puts your debt at just under 30k which will be a great landmark for you.

My next aim is to get under 20k and am very impatient for it to happen but will be very excited when it does. I haven't been under 20k for about 4 years so I will start to feel under control when I get there.

  • Hiya

I was just thinking about this the other day. Count me in for only £5,000 this year because after being made redundant 2 weeks ago I was offered a job today but it could mean a £2,000 pay cut I would be able to get overtime though if I worked late or at the weekend. If I manage £5,000 this year I would be happy I'm going to try and pay more and anything above this would be a bonus. I'm going to be spending my weekend on ebay clearing stuff ready for xmas and (this is going to sound bad) I think I'm probably going to have a lot of "useful xmas pressies" to sell after xmas.

  • Hi

Please, please, please can I have a number and be added to the list (I have posted twice but the thread is moving very fast and they probably haven't been spotted).

I'm ready and raring to go after Xmas.

    Thanks
