Dear Batfink
I was totally like you last year not that happy to be turning 30 but guess waht a year on and now just turning 31 and am doing ok. it might just be the kick up the lovely bottom you require to sort out your finances. I decided last year that I wanted to sort out my debt mountain. it not been easy at time and even today was totting up how my wage won't stretch but in reflection have cleared one credit card, have reduced my other loans and called to reduce the limit so I won't be tempted and have set up a budget that I mainly sick to. am sure you can do it have faith you will get there in the end. :rotfl:misselvis proud and in motion - dealing with her debts step by stepDFW #107

Well done on recognising it before it gets out of hand batfink. I have the same problem with dieting - stick to it, get rid of the weight, spend about 5 mins at the new weight before I have gone back to bad habits
So, I am a yo yo dieter - I trust that you have stopped your self becoming a yo yo debtor
Just £50 paid off for me today - small steps in the right direction, though, so all good!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Thanks hypno. I've not managed to stay on a diet for more than a couple of days so far - that's going to have to be my next challenge really, I'd save a fortune as I went back down the sizes and could wear all my old clothes again!
Your sig always astonishes me, you've come so far and are getting so close - I think there should be fireworks when you're finished!

It's just sooooo old - and the problem is, I'm beginning to feel old too - where once I could shake off the germs etc, these days I seem to find a new ache each day.
Oh well, at least it's good to know that you're even older than me

not farr off target, i've £3k left of the £20k but the target of £30k looks a bit unrealistic now, still you never know...Negative equity of £100k. including the mortgage0

No no. YOu've got it all wrong. In your twenties you're still basically finding out who you are and what you want. THere's lots of upheaval and emotional turmoil. By your thirties you can look forward to a much more setlled decade, where you know who you are and what you want from life. THey're much better.
Anyway, you can shut up. I'm 40 next year :eek:0 -
Oh, forgot. £110 to the post office card. (and minus all the other fraudulent transactions that were put on there by some shyster...)0
