    Hi all

Not been on here for such a long time and not completely up to date with the thread yet but will be reading over the next few days. Been away because I got a bit depressed when I was out of work.

Well done to every one paying off such large amounts. I have managed to get some free lance secretarial work but not earning alot of money at the moment but I'm able to pay my bills. Only paying £1 per month to my creditors at the moment to keep them off my back but have two debts that I will be clearing in the next 2 months due to settlement offers which are good and it wipes off £2,500 of debt!!! Hubby is helping me out with that. Got loads to sort out with figures etc so will be working over the next few days to read the thread and get updated.

    I'm back in this now.

Just what I was going to say. Go to the Debt free wannabe main board, start a thread and post your statement of affairs there. You'll get lots of help.

OK, couldn't wait any longer. Just paid £1,000 off the Capital One card. HA!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get paid for another week but I just needed to do it, it's buirning a hole in my bank account. Which means I'm almost halfway through my challenge. Got another £200 waiting in the savings account to pay next wednesday if it hasn't been needed for day to day living.

    OOOO that felt good...
  • Well done Sarah! I know we say it a lot but imagine when that £1,000 will be sitting in your account and you only can spend it on things you want to, rather than debt repayments......!

I have updated my sig as a couple of loan payments went out this week. I'm nearly 2/3rds repaid from my LBM a couple of years ago. Getting there!

Would like to join this but don't think I'll make anything like 20k or even 5k by December? How on earth do you all do it? :o

I'm crossing my fingers I get some extra work as I don't have any spare money each month for debts, once I've paid payplan 200 quid.

Xaviera, just set a target that seems do-able but not easy.

I do mine by getting my husband to donate all his extra earnigns! (he gigs on top of his day job) LOL. But also: mystery shopping, playing free scratchcards, surveys, I run my own cake business part time (I already work full time) and taking up every free money off etc offer that comes along. Every single last penny I earn extra goes straight onto the credit cards (erm.... except when we went away for our anniversary, lol). Once you start it's quite addictive!
