Thanks batfink. It's just, sometimes it really comes home to you, you know? When he was on the course we used to get really annoyed because all the other people on it were being PAID £10k to train,w hereas we were PAYING £10k - all because he had to do an extra year to finish his degree, so they called it a masters rather than a PGCE. It just has such long lasting effects - it means that we will be paying it off for years whereas if they'd given us the grant to train we'd probably be able to clear the extra in a year or two.

    Anyway. Thanks for the sympathy!

I am on a bit of a downer at the mo. Had to folk out over £700 on car repairs - honestly I did not see that coming. What started off as needing 2 new tyres turned out to being a suspension problem. Well I suppose the good news is that I did not have to go in more debt over this. Car insurance is due at the begining of July GRhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Gosh it is so hard to stay positive when you feel that you are taking one step forward and 2 steps back. Yeah and I broke a tooth eating dinner - so another expense that I don't need.

Wow, need to stop feeling sorry for myself and think of the positives - had a telephone interview for a permanent job as part of the first stage. Got a call from an agency yesterday about a 3 month contract paying double what I am earning now. Great opportunity to clear debt faster. I hate my current contract role and can't wait to see the back of it by mid July. Would leave at the drop of a hat if something came available now!

Since my LBM I have not been fully committed so now I have had a 2nd LBM.
Aiming to be debt free by December 2016:D
  • I know how you feel BB I hate my current job I have to get up at 6 spend an hour on the bus to get here (not because I haven’t got a car it is because the company wont allow me to park on site). 2 hours a day on the bus spend 8 hours a day doing a job I hate plus another 4 and half hours from home and 9 hours from home on a Saturday it really getting me down. But I need the job to pay my debts and that is why I do the extra hours from home. When I am in the office I have no work to do so i spend the day bored out of my mind thinking of what i could be doing if i was at home :(

My car also has to go in for repair next week but i hoping it is nothing to bad otherwise i think i will sell it :(

On a positive note i am paying another £40 of my credit card today and have found loads of things at home to sell :)
