sounds like you had a great time terakris.
Well i have sold item on ebay and looked at the cashback site i been using and i have another £10 to go in my debt potnot much i know but it is a little bit more towards being debt free.
When i get home i have a few things to put on ebay and a mobile phone to send off to be recylced which is another £30 so a bit more for the pot and as i havent got much work to do at work today i have been listing things i have for sale online and replying to emails that people have sent asking about the items. So looks like i might make it debt free by xmas.
Well it is pay day this week so means i shall be able to pay off a few more debtswill keep you updated.

I'm feeling kind of depressed today.
My husband and I work so hard, full time, to keep our heads above water, and we're doing fine, but I was so focused on getting the credit cards paid off by Christmas (which is quite a long shot in itself) that I kind of went into denial about how much we owe on his student loan (he just did two years' conversion to teacher of music from being a musician). We didn't get any help from teh government, despite their claims to give £10k to teachers to train, because he didn't finish his first degree. So we suddenly got a letter through the post showing we owe £17k to the student loans people... That's so much money! I knew it was there (actually I thought it was about £15k) but seeing it in black and white, it just seems so much. I want to be saving for our son's college money, not paying this off for ever.
I know there are lots of you out there with more debt than this but I'm just having a bad day with it all.0 -
I've just paid £83.06 off my Amex. Why the strange amount? Well - that was how much was in my current account - with nothing else I need to buy this week.
Sarah - I know the feeling well, student loans are a nightmare. Sadly, although I am close to declaring myself debt free, this only ever included my Credit Cards, Loans and Overdraught's - I've still got the nightmare that is my student loan to tackle. Thankfully I've not finished uni yet, so I don't need to start paying it back just yet.
Don't get too distressed - the rate you're going it'll be gone in no time!
