  • Wow Julie, you're doing so well.

I flushed my wedding ring down the toilet as a sort of symbolic gesture due to the cheating *!?!*!!* flushing our marriage down the toilet. Well, it made me feel better at the time :rotfl::rotfl:.

Think it's going to be payday before I can add anything.

    Well done everyone.

I got a very nice surprise this morning.... dropping DS off at nursery and the head handed me a cheque for £522 - it was the money we get from teh government for free nursery places but I'd completely forgotten I had it coming... contemplated a nice holiday in Puglia for a few minutes, but will do the right thing and pay it off the capital one. Grrrrr..... sigh.

    That's a nice surprise Sarah!

I've just paid an extra £50 off the Amex, about all I've got to spare this month I think. Every little helps....

£70.00 overpayment on mortgage today, MBNA 0% interest has ended, I now need to transfer my balance to another card. I have a Abbey card, but I couldn't obtain transfer of the full balance over.
Abbey said they did not credit check me as their offer was a pre-selected approval, should I chance applying for another 0% card?.

  • Nothing really to report from me, but I have updated my signature and removed my old car loan from it. Even though it was at zero, I want my signature to be empty! :D

Oh, and I did laugh at this! (although I'm not sure I should be laughing at your marriage breaking down?!)
  • Hi All!

Sorry I know it is way into the challenge but I was wondering if I could join as I am newish to this site.

I have £4500 to pay off and could do with some help and motivation to get this paid off asap.

    Thank you

What's your credit score like - how many cards have you got, etc etc. NO harm in trying i fyou haven't applied for anything else recently. I need a new one in August - hopefully my last one ever - but I'm guessing they're thin on the ground at the moment.

What's the rate on the ABbey card? If it's 0% then put what you can on it and try for another 0%. If you can't get one then just prioritise the MBNA debt (how much would it be? Can you clear it relatively quickly?)

I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying - Of course you're welcome to join!

You've just over 6 months until Christmas, I'm sure, with some hard work, you can do it!
