  • Wow! What an inspiring thread! I know we've reached June, but I really want to try this as well. I've got a 16k loan which will take another 5 years to pay off, but having started to read this thread, I suddenly find myself wondering if I could do something to make the next five years a lot easier. I feel a rummage around the loft and an eBay sale coming on!

  • No new payments for me to report.

Just popped in to say well done to everyone (and to motivate myself to actually get on with this challenge - spent hours yesterday messing about with budget sheets and the snowball, and it just keeps coming out the same. Answer = spend less time faffing with spreadsheets, more time actually doing something about it .

    Have a good day everyone.

Hubby's got loads of extra gigging work this month and has promised it all to put towards the debt/holiday spending money. He doesn't know but every time he gives me his freelance money I'm saving a little for his tax bill as he's completely useless at saving - so in return for him getting on board to pay off debts, he's going to have a nice surprise next January as he won't have to find the extra for his tax bill.

Anyway, the point is that I SHOULD have about £1,000 extra to throw at Cap One this month. THe 0% is up for that one and for Egg in August, so I will need to try to get one final (I hope) 0% card. Might ring round all the other ones I'lve still got open and see what they can offer me; if they won't play nicely I'll close them down. My dream is to have just one credit card, with nothing on it! LOL.
