Haven't posted for a bit - have a 13 day old son to add to the family, so have been a tad busy!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, my total to date is £26232 against my original target of £15k :j

Congratulations - for both, you must feel doubly proud!

Blimey, that's more than the average national salary. Have you sold your grandmother into slavery or something?!

I am finally going to start my debt free challenge, I am going to start one card at a time, so I am going for barclays goldfish, this has just over £5,000 on it.
    .
I have decided to do the same as you. Pay off one card at a time. I am going for my LLoydsTSB card which only has five months left on interest free. On the others I will pay just a bit over the minimum.DH is working again this week which is a massive help. Even if he only has a month at work it will help to reduce our debts.

Finally, first payment of the month! £29 to HSBC. Have got a new 0% card so will be shifting some debt to that. That means my total will go up by £50 or so this month, but in long run is much better so will focus on that!

Sold husbands old golfclubs, old bike, on eBay and made 150, so I am going to put £100 towards debt fund and the £50 in christmas fund. The bank rang my husband and asked him in for a chat  they said we are paying to much interest etc, will wait and see if they lower it, I could do with that credit card being lowered as I pay about £299 and £280+ is interest.

    LOL!!!

Baby is called Sam & was 5lb 13.5oz - so a titch, even tho' he was 2 days late!

£12.5k of the figure comes from OH's redundancy money & about £4 or £5k from a backlog of unclaimed expenses. Our only debt is the mtge now and I've paid off as much as I can in a lump sum this year without incurring charges so have kept repayments the same to make small monthly overpayments too until next year, when I can pay off about £10.5k without charges. Rest of redundancy tied up in savings/ ISAs/ premium bonds.

Ooh congrats greent on baba Sam and an amazing total!!

I've paid off a further £16.30 from odds and ends being received in my account - not much, but it all helps!

Will try and catch up properly tonight and will post a new total for the total we have all paid off so far!
