OK, my halfway total is coming up... we're not halfway, bbut I never expected us to be at this stage. After August we no longer have childcare costs which will save us £800 a month.. so I sincerely hope that our payments will go up then.

Anyway, our halfway total is: £3481.11
which I'm quite happy with, though keen to improve on. Now husband's on board it should get easier and easier..

even though I have committed to the pay off £20k by chistmas am a little confused as to whether I should include my mortgage payments in the challenge. my total debt is £18.5 K and I am aiming to pay off £8 thousand this year so yesterday was payday and i have chipped off

    another £720
off my debts am going to continue with this in a snowball fashion for my credit cards so will try and clear 3 cards by christmas.

    student loan £90 bal £1400 apr 4.2%, halifax card £70 balance £1300 apr 29%, hsbc loan £209 balance £13188 apr 6.9%, hsbc cc £60 balance £1700 apr 14.9%, vanquis £100 balance £380 apr 39% and additions direct £80 balance £980 apr 39%.

i am working on getting rid of vanquis and additions asap then will snowball and deal with the remainder afterwards.

    take care:j

misselvis, I have put down your non-mortgage debt, but if you are paying off your capital on your mortgage, then I don't see why it shouldn't be counted too!

If it is just the interest payment that is in your figure, then I wouldn't count that, because the debt is not actually decreasing.

Let me know, and I will amend the spreadsheet as appropriate!

    Happy sunny weekend everyone!!

I count the capital on our mortgage, it's one debt we're concentrating on.

    Our halfway figure is £10,155.31

We are doing amazingly well. Thanky Hypno for keeping the totals.

£375 paid today - car loan and minimum payments on the cards. Really feel i've gone off track over the last few months so have gone 'back to basics'. HAve dusted down my money jars and labelled them 'food', 'fuel' etc and once the money's gone - it's gone!! am also going to start a spending diary again as I can get a bit card happy. Hopefully if I;'m handing over cold hard cash I might think twice about it!!

Anyhow.. my half year total is £7273 so a little bit behind target but hopefully with my new found enthusiasm...
